The instructions contained in this booklet were written to provide a simple and clear guide for use of the vehicle. The manual also details routinemaintenance procedures and regular checks that should be carried out on the vehicle at an authorized Aprilia Dealer or Workshop, as well asinstructions for some simple maintenance items. Procedures not described in detail here require the use of special tools and/or specific technicalknowledge: we therefore advise you to contact an authorized Aprilia Dealer or Workshop if you need them carried out.

The vehicles are supported by the Aprilia New Vehicle Limited Warranty. This warranty covers the vehicles for defects in material and workmanship forthe period of two years with no mileage limitation.

As with any warranty, there are a number of exclusions; areas, situations, activities, care, treatment, and/or abuse where the warranty does not andwill not cover the cost of parts and/or labor to complete a repair. One of the exclusions of this warranty is if the motorcycle is used in organized competitiveevents, Track Days or other closed course "racing" activities. Aprilia understands, however, that some vehicle owners, while fully understanding thisexclusion, may wish to take part in such events and activities.

With this in mind Aprilia has provided information in this manual including, but not limited to, the proper racing set up of the motorcycle in the areas ofsuspension, ignition mapping selection, oil level checks and maintenance intervals.

Les vhicules sont couverts par la Garantie Limite Aprilia pour Vhicules Neufs. Cette garantie couvre les vhicules pour des dfauts inhrents aumatriel et la main-d'oeuvre pour une dure de deux ans sans aucune limite de kilomtrage.

Comme pour toute garantie, un certain nombre d'exclusions subsiste ; Les zones, les situations, les activits, l'entretien, le traitement et/ou l'utilisationnon conformes sont autant de cas pour lesquels la garantie ne couvrira pas le cot des pices de rechange et/ou de la main-d'oeuvre ncessaire une rparation complte. Une des exclusions de cette garantie s'applique si jamais la motocyclette est utilise lors d'vnements de sport de hautniveau organiss, Track Days ou d'autres activits de sport de haut niveau en circuit ferm. If it is necessary to start the engine in or-der to perform maintenance services,make sure the area in which it will beworked on is well-ventilated. Never letthe engine run in enclosed areas.

When it is necessary to work in an en-closed area, be sure to use a system that

vents the exhaust outside.

Fuel

Keep gasoline out of the reach of chil-dren. Gasoline is toxic. Do not use yourmouth to siphon gasoline. Avoid havinggasoline in contact with your skin. If youshould accidentally come into contactwith gasoline, change your clothes im-mediately, and thoroughly wash the area

that was in contact with the gasoline withwarm water and soap. If you should ac-cidentally swallow gasoline, do not in-duce vomiting. Drink large quantities ofclear water or milk and immediately seekprofessional medical assistance.

If gasoline should come in contact withyour eyes, rinse them with a large amountof clean, fresh water and consult a doctorimmediately.
