is now underway. You will soon receive a mailing asking for your support. Prayerfully consider a pledge to the Appeal using the response card mailed to you OR by completing a Commitment Envelope at Mass the weekend of Feb-ruary 25–26. Our annual theme, “One Faith, One Family” continues to remind us that we are members of something greater than ourselves. The Annual Appeal invites each of us to place trust in the Lord by offering our prayers and our gifts. These contributions to your parish and our Dio-cese serve as a sign of gratitude for each blessing be-stowed upon us. Your support to the Appeal makes a tan-gible difference in our local Church.

Ministry Formation Information Nights

The Diocesan Lay Ecclesial Ministry Program (MFP) trains leaders to work in collaboration with the cler-

gy to serve the faithful. It is the local standard certification for those in ministry, particularly catechetical

ministry. This three-year formation program follows the USCCB document, Co-Workers in the Vineyard

and assists willing participants in academic, spiritual, human, personal and pastoral formation. Interest-

ed parties should discuss their call to serve in this capacity with their pastor. Pastors should invite their

candidates for the MFP to one of the two remaining information nights

Thursday, Feb. 16, at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Faith Parish in Gainesville

Thursday, March 16, at 7:00 p.m. at Blessed Trinity Parish in Jacksonville

As per RCIA program recommendations, those leading formation sessions (not dismissals) in the RCIA pro-

gram should be either graduates of the MFP (level 4 catechist) or in the program. Even the dismissals should

be done by experienced catechist for they need to be able to do the breaking of the word sessions.
