SOS Children's Villages Romania is a nongovernmental humanitarian
organization, non-profit, focused on assisting and supporting
children who have lost or may lose their biological family care.
25 years of activity, 15 social projects, over 1.000 direct beneficiaries annually
(230 children and youngsters benefiting by long term care and 800
beneficiaries of prevention of separation and counseling services).
WHAT WE DO IN SOS ROMANIA We work with different types of families:

More than 230 children are provided alternative care in 3 SOS villages with 31 Families Houses and 3 Youths’ Facilities (a specialized life skills program)

• Support the transition from institutional to alternative care for children that cannot grow with their biological families
• Building capacities of local authorities especially in rural areas
• Fight child poverty and social exclusion, youth unemployment and support Romma integration
