Positive displacement pipettors, TransferpettorFor easy, clean pipetting of problematic media.

Transferpettor operates by positive displacement, which makes it ideal for pipetting:

- Highly viscous media such as oils, resins and fats up to a viscosity of 50000mm²/sec.- Media with high vapour pressure up to 500mbar (Alcohols, ethers, hydrocarbons etc.)- Media with a high density up to 13.6g/cm³ (e.g. mercury and sulphuric acid)- Media that tend to foam (surfactant solutions).- Working temperature range: 15°C to 40°C

Capillary tubes and tips can be used over and over again, since residual wetting is negligible and generally has no influence on the overall result. Sample retention can be a mayor contributor to pipetting inaccuracy, and siliconization of tips has proved unsatisfactorybecause of autoclaving and contamination problems. For LLG quality tips a new polymer, Novelle-Polypropylenehas beendeveloped, that produces a ”super slick surface“ on our new ULR-tips, that actually improves with autoclaving andcannot leach from the tip surface. On average, Novelle Polymer and LLG ULR-tips reduces the tip retention by near 85 % and decreases the standard deviation of the retained volume by more than 75 %. Also liquid handling accuracyand precision are crucial to success in todays molecular biology laboratories, especially for DNA analysis and proteinhandling. A significant culprit of pipette inaccuracy is binding of sample. The LLG ULR-tips reduces the binding, thusincreasing sample delivery accuracy. Tests demonstrates that LLG ULR-Tips significantly reduces the amount of DNA andprotein bound by the tip. Furthermore LLG ULR-Tips offer a marked improvement over the best low retentiontechnologies.

A patented surface treatment is used tomake the polypropylene of the pipette tips extremely liquid repellent - costly sample loss during pipetting is reduced toa minimum.- The ultra-hydrophobic surface of the new tips is over 3 times more liquid repellent than untreated polypropylene.- Ideal for biological samples that contain detergents such as Triton® X-100, SDS, Tween etc.- No coatings that might lead to sample contamination.- No additives that can be leached out! Filter tipsFilter tips are especially suited for working with PCR techniques, and fully meet the requirements for microbiology andradioisotope work. The integrated hydrophobic polyethylene filter (free from chemical additives) serves as a barrieragainst aerosols formed during pipetting. Filter tips protect the pipette shafts from contamination, and thus lessen therisk of cross-contamination and faulty measuring results.
