the year of the dog is almost here and we have a

fantastic and action packed 2018 here at the

Shaolin Kung Fu Guan.  This year we will be

starting new classes, increasing the number of

current classes and an increase in tremendous

events both at the SKFG and externally.  This year

we will be returning to China for our school China

Tour in September and we will be once again

hosting potentially several world class and famous

martial artists right here at the SKFG

I would like to welcome back all of our current

students and hope that you all had a great

Christmas and spectacular new year.  To all of

our new students we welcome you to our kung

fu family and look forward to seeing you grow

and learn on your journey with us here at the

SKFG

THE

LATEST 

MORE CLASSES FOR THE SAME PRICE!

A brand new class timetable will commence on

the 29th of January that will have new times for

classes and additional brand new classes

dedicated to giving you more at the SKFG.  The

timetable will give you more opportunity to

experience our extensive class range.  the

timetable will be out in the  2nd week of

January so that you can prepare yourself for the

29th.

NEW T IMETABLE

If it is successful we will look to offer a junior

wushu class in 2018.   Wushu although is the

general term for martial arts in China however

these days it is split into traditional Wushu and

modern Wushu.  We will be teaching the modern

Wushu side which emphasises acrobatics,

performance and the beauty of wushu.  The use of

wushu today in film is plentiful with everyone from

Star Wars to Charlie's Angels using wushu to make

their characters look amazing!

STARTING DATE: APRIL 9TH

NEW COMPETITION & ACROBATICS CLASS

This year we will be introducing new classes

to continue to give you more choice and

experience right here at the SKFG.  Starting on

the 29th of January our new timetable will

come into affect with a brand new class

dedicated to competitions and another

acrobatic and tumbling class.  These are just

the start of new things to come at the SKFG in

2018.  

NEW CLASSES

A TASTE OF WUSHU

We will be trialling a taste of Wushu in the

little dragons classes over a 6 week period in

April. We hope to give our little dragons an

opportunity to experience one of China's

unique sports that derives from traditional

Kung Fu.  

K IDS WUSHU CLASS TR IAL

To ensure we are able to continue to deliver our

amazing classes through our world class venue we

must ensure that all fees are paid on time as we to

have financial commitments.  We noticed through

last years tracking that some members consistently

paid their monthly fees late.  So to combat this

behaviour please note ALL monthly fees are due by

the 7th of the month, after this a $10 penalty will be

added.  This will start from February.

LATE FEES

It is essential that all members wear the appropriate

training attire within classes.  The school uniform is

part of being a valued part of the Shaolin Kung Fu

Guan and it represents your dedication to your

journey and your art.  Please note you must wear (as

stipulated in the code of conduct) the shirt, pants,

socks and leg ties, belt and shoes for kung fu.  If you

do not have all of these items you can purchase them

from the school shop (unless we are out of stock).

From February if you do not have the correct uniform

their will be consequences.

ESSENTIALS

As part of our ongoing dedication to not only the

physical but also the mental and moral aspects of

Shaolin training we will for all classes be integrating a

policy of looking after our house.  This means that we

will after each class ensure our 'house' is clean and

that the equipment is in the right place and

maintained and that our training and social areas are

also clean.  This shows a key element of Wu De

(martial Ethics) known as respect.  

HOUSE RULES

To further your training you have access to highly

skilled and amazing coaches available to you for

private tuition.  We welcome you to organise a one on

one with our great coaches to explore ways of

helping you reach goals or work on something your

having trouble with.  We are here to facilitate your

growth and improvement.  Please see the front desk

for pricing and availability.

CHINESE

NEW YEAR

Chinese New Year or the Spring Festival is the biggest

celebration within the Chinese calendar.  We are renowned for

being a part of many events and other peoples celebrations

through our amazing performance team.  However this year we

will be creating our own Chinese New Year Celebration event

right here at the Shaolin Kung Fu Guan.  Our event will be held

on Saturday the 3rd of March.  It will be for us to celebrate

Chinese new year, bring in prosperity and good luck and to

welcome the community to share in our celebrations while also

raising awareness of our great centre.
