1.2. NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES1.2.1. GENERAL

All below mentioned provisions shall be applied in accordance with Low VisibilityProcedures (LVP) and do not apply to State ACFT, humanitarian, search and res-cue, test flights as well as to other flights specifically authorized by the APTCivil Aviation Authority.

1.2.2. RWY USAGEBetween 0600-2300LT departures are performed preferentially from RWY 30except for ATC reasons or other pilot’s request due to meteorological or safetyreasons. Between 2300-0600LT departures are performed from RWY 30 except for otherpilot’s request due to meteorological or safety reasons.Between 2300-0600LT arrivals will be performed by RWY 12, except for otherpilot’s request due to meteorological or safety reasons and when the use of RWY 12 for LDG would cause departures delay over 20 minutes.

1.2.3. RUN-UP TESTSBetween 1400-1600LT and 2300-0600LT engine tests are forbidden, except forACFT to be immediately employed.Position for engine tests (ACFT Nose-WEST with nose aligned with IntermediateHolding Position (IHP) T3) located in maneuvering area and accessible via TWY Jand K. Engine run-ups on (IHP) T3 suspended while de-icing apron is in use. ACFT short lasting engine run-ups in idle power allowed H24 in all aprons, exceptACFT stands 102, 103, 1031 and 1032 previous coordination with handling agent.

1.2.4. AUXILIARY POWER UNIT (APU)APU must be started up not earlier than 60 minutes before the ETD, and it must beturned off not later than 20 minutes after block-on.

1.2.5. REVERSE THRUSTThe use of reverse thrust at power higher than idle is allowed only in the event ofproven safety/operational reasons.

1.3. LOW VISIBILITY PROCEDURES (LVP)1.3.1. GENERAL

LVP will be applied:- When RVR is 550m or below;- When ceiling is below 200' according to the meteorological local report;- When deterioration of weather conditions recommends so.Pilots will be informed via ATIS and/or RTF when LVP in force.ATC may activate LVP even with RVR and ceiling values above the establishedvalues, if pilot report indicates bad weather condition, if explicit requested bypilot or to perform a CAT II/III approach.In these cases, in order to not penalize the traffic sequence, the LVP may be acti-vated only for the involved flight and the message "LVP in Progress" will becommunicated by ATC on frequency to the concerned flight only.Operations with RVR less than 75m are not allowed.RWY 30 is available for ILS CAT I and take-off with RVR equal to or higher than550m.Departures from intersection take-off are not allowed.

1.3.2. GROUND MOVEMENTSWhen all or part of the maneuvering area cannot be visually monitored from theTWR, following routes will be normally used: - Departures RWY 12: TWY T to holding position T1.- Departures RWY 30: TWY T to holding position K.Following TWY shall be used to vacate the RWY:- Arrival/aborted take-off RWY 12: TWY G, H, J or K.- Arrival/aborted take-off RWY 30: TWY A or B.When RVR measured on any available transmissometer is below 400m:Departures RWY 12 with no approaching ACFT:- First departure will be cleared to taxi to intermediate holding position T2 and

then to RWY holding position T1.- Second departure will be cleared to taxi to intermediate holding position T2,

only after the preceding departure has been cleared for line-up and has passedRWY holding position T1.

Departure RWY 12 with ACFT landing RWY 12:- Landing ACFT will be cleared to continue taxiing only when the departing ACFT

will be between intermediate holding position T2 and RWY holding position T1.Landing (aborted take-off) RWY 12:- After landing, ACFT will be cleared to vacate RWY and taxi to assigned ACFT

stand only when the previous arrival has landed and reached the apron.Whenever conditions are such that all or part of the maneuvering area cannot bevisually monitored from the Tower, in case of failure of the Surface MovementRadar (SMR) or in case of total stop-bar failure, only one ACFT per time isallowed in the movement area.Follow-me vehicle will wait for the landed ACFT on TWY Z or holding position V1.

1.4. TAXI PROCEDURESACFT entering or leaving the apron shall use only TWYs TW, TL, TP, TU and TS.In order to avoid damage due to jet blast or slip stream, pilots are requested totaxi with minimum thrust on all TWYs. Four-engine ACFT shall taxi on all TWYswith outer engines at idle power.TWYs F and G shall be used as exit TWYs. TWY J shall be used as preferentialexit TWY from RWY 12.TWY K shall be used as preferential entry TWY to RWY 30.TWYs B and D shall not be used for backtrack for RWY 12.TWYs C, E and H can be used in order to enter the RWY and perform backtrack forRWY 12 and RWY 30.Use of TWY N only allowed for ACFT with code letter A included.Priority in use of TWY TV will be given to arriving ACFT.Taxiing on taxilane V allowed only clockwise.Towing/push-back on apron 4 allowed only in engine-off conditions. Taxiing on apron 4 must be performed at minimum engine power.Simultaneous ACFT operations on ACFT stand taxilane Z and TWY T are restrictedto following cases:- ACFT ICAO code C or lower;- ACFT ICAO code D only with ACFT ICAO code A.

Start-up will be provided only after ATC has received "ACFT ready" communica-tion by the aerodrome operator. "ACFT ready" status is reported, when:- ACFT doors and holds are closed;- Compulsory documentation provided to handler;- ACFT safe area clear from obstacles, vehicles, equipment and ground

personnel;- ACFT ready for taxi or push-back.- Push-back tractor has been connected for nose-in stands.

3.2.2. START-UPACFT leaving stands 102, 103, 1031 and 1032 must not begin start-up procedurebefore push-back and towing maneuver to apron holding position U4 is completed.

3.2.3. PUSH-BACKPush-back compulsory on stands 102, 103, 105 thru 112, 114, 115, 205, 206, 208thru 307, 1031, 1032 and 2081.Standard push-back must be performed heading East.ACFT with ICAO code letter D parked on stands 114 or 115 shall be pushed backon TWY T thru TWY TS.ACFT with ICAO code letter E and F parked on stand 114 shall be pushed back onTWY T thru TWY TS.ACFT with ICAO code letter E and F parked on apron 3 shall be pushed back onTWY T thru TWY TW.
