• In April 2013 a new Federal Law “On the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation” was introduced. It establishes:
• Goal of the Accounts Chamber: selection and assessment of key national indicators of socio-economic development of the Russian Federation
• Function of the Accounts Chamber: advice on development of systems of key national indicators, that describe level and quality of socio-economic development as well as selection of criteria and methods for their assessment
• Mandate to conduct analysis and to develop proposals on the list of macroeconomic and other key indicators of Russian Federation socio-economic development as well as criteria and methods for their assessment
