After breakfast, travel through upper Punakha valley through the village of Kabjisa and walk through farmhouses to Khamsum Yuelley Namgyel
Temple which was built by the Queen Mother of Bhutan for peace and stability in this ever-changing world. This temple is situated on the hillock
at Thimphu, check into your hotel. Visit the following: Tashichhodzong, “the fortress of the glorious religion”. This is the center of government and religion, site of the monarch’s throne room and seat of the Je Khenpo or Chief Abbotra plan. In the evening, free to relax or stroll around Thimphu town, do shopping, etc.

After breakfast drive up the valley to view the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong. It was from here that the Bhutanese repelled several invading Tibetan armies during the 17th century. Then take an excursion to Taktsang
Monastery, the most famous of Bhutanese monasteries. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery hence it is called "Tiger's Nest". The excursion to monastery takes about 5 hours for round trip. While return to Paro town, en-route visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom, also famous Hong Kong actor Tony Leong wedding ceremony held here.

CURRENCY Bhutanese currency unit are the Ngultrum (1Nu = 100 Chetrum). The Ngultrum is pegged to the value of the Indian Rupee. Increasingly businesses in Bhutan accept credit cards and there are foreign currency exchange services at some hotels and banks plus there are now ATMs for visitors’ use in Paro and Thimpu. It is recommended that for incidentals, drinks and souvenirs, beyond the capital that guests carry a combination of cash or traveler’s cheques in US Dollars & credit card (AMEX card holders may experience difficulties).
TOBACCO Bhutan, first nation in the world to ban the sale and consumption (in public) of tobacco. However, visitors can still bring in cigarettes for their own use and the items will attract a duty of 200%. Smoking in public should be avoided.
INTERNET ACCESS Bhutan’s connectivity is improving by the day, with most smart phones working and wireless connections available in Tourist Class hotels however this diminishes as you move eastwards beyond Punakha.
ELECTRICITY 220 volts AC from clean Hydro Electric plants. Please pack a universal plug adapter as the type of electrical sockets varies across the country.
TIME Bhutan is 2hours behind Singapore /Malaysia time.
LANGUAGE Dzongkha is Bhutan’s official language and there are countless dialects. Thanks to his Majesty the 4th King’s education policy, English is widely spoken in shops and hotels.
FOOD Bhutanese dishes are rich and spicy with plenty of cheese and chili. Do try the national dish called Ema Datse whose spiciness can be reduced to visitors’ tastes. Most guests stick to the bhutanese cuisine that is served in restaurants/ hotels.
