The Azimut 78 Ultra Motoryacht exhibits the flowing and curvaceous styling which is atrademark of designer Stefano Righini. The flying bridge is unusually wide, which enhancescomfort for those up top. Covered side decks make it is possible to move from the helm to thecockpit completely sheltered. The large elliptical side windows are a trademark of the Azimutline. Those in the saloon have complete visibility to the outside even when seated. All windowglass is bonded directly to the fiberglass - there are no metal window frames that can leak. The78 is semicustom. Three interior layouts, two flying-bridge configurations, and a variety ofinterior decors are available. The European version features a saloon, dining area, enclosedgalley, and wheelhouse on the main level, while the lower level has the crew's quarters fullyforward, VIP and guest stateroom fully aft, and a second VIP and owner's staterooms amidship.The American version is the same on the main deck except that the galley is open to thewheelhouse. On the lower deck this version also has a VIP stateroom (which can be fitted out asan office) and guest stateroom aft, but forward there's a larger crew's quarters with galley thatcan be accessed from the wheelhouse. A large owner's stateroom is amidship. The Far Eastversion devotes the entire main deck to saloon and dining area and puts the galley fully forward

on the lower level (connected to the main level by a dumbwaiter) along with the midship masterand aft VIP and guest cabins. The Classic decor features cherry wood and cherry burl, finishedlacquer, alcantara upholstery, and Carrara marble. The High Tech decor is completely different -silver, gray, and metallic lacquer offset by bright upholstery fabrics, mirrors, and brushedchrome. Azimut engineers built a full-scale wooden model to make sure all proportions anddimensions were correct before the first lamination. They tank-tested her hull to guarantee goodperformance and seakeeping. The 78 sports flush-fitting windows and uses special UV-resistantgelcoat and LARICROSS foam-cored panels for non-structural bulkheads to save weight anddampen sound. The use of Epacryn resin eliminates osmosis, making possible a 10-year hullwarranty. All Azimut vessels are built using advanced construction materials, including speciallaminates with bi-axial and tri-axial glass fiber matting to ensure maximum strength withminimum weight, and the latest generation of isophthalic polyester resins to protect againstosmosis. Azimut backs this up with a 10-year guarantee against osmosis and structuralbreakdown, accompanied by an engine manufacturer's 5-year guarantee. Azimut quality hasbeen recognized by the receipt of the quality certification rating ISO 9001, a certificationgained after passing the highly demanding series of tests and checks required by the authoritiesestablished in this area.
