For these markets, improvements in torque capacity, NVH, fuel efficiency and mass reduction are continually engaged to meet the Fun 2 Drive needs of the customer. The design intent is to preserve existing vehicle packaging space for multiple OEMs – contributing to the flexible approach required for modest volume/nich segment markets. The TREMEC 900 Nm TR-9007 DCT is the lead product in this development. The product respects the installation constraints typical for RWD applications. It is a 7-speed transmission with ratios selected so that vehicle performance and fuel efficiency targets are properly satisfied. The use of integrated mechatronic systems allow TREMEC to leverage components and subsystems already developed and produced to optimize cost savings, reduce development resources and time, and reduce software development for common components. Shared components and subsystems include • Highly efficient, virtually dry dual wet clutch • Friction materials optimized for control and thermal capacity • Planetary gerotor pump provides highly efficient system pressure and lubrication • Fast and accurate low leak solenoids • Responsive and durable electro-hydraulic actuation system • Fast and precise clutch control systems • Powerful transmission control unit and control software 900 Nm TR-9007 Dual Clutch Transmission Features at a Glance: • Seven forward speeds • Modular design for rear wheel drive (RWD), all wheel drive (AWD) and transaxle platforms • Torque capacity of 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) • 10,000 RPM maximum input speed • Gear ratio spread: 5.6 performance oriented • Integrated mechatronics
