Development ROCX JIP
A two-year program started from 2009
Sponsored by Statoil and Total
Main goals:
To develop ROCX into a suitable reservoir model to fit its purpose
To enhance the robustness of the numerical link between OLGAand ROCX
To develop primary capabilities for advanced integrated
simulation, such as component tracking across the sandface
The project is due to complete by the end of next year
Initial applications have shown promising results

Development Well GUI
Current OLGA GUI is not very convenient for well modeling
A project on developing a Well GUI was initialized in 2007
The preliminary version was released, setting focus on well
geometry editing!
The development will continue The ambition is to develop it into a comprehensive GUI so that
most of the well simulations can be done in it without resorting to
the OLGA GUI
The main challenges however are:
Network translation, e.g. multi-laterals with smart completions
Database for conventional well equipment
