Comparing my preliminary task and my full product I feel that my knowledge of using editing software like Adobe Premiere has expanded. I had little knowledge of technical equipment for example I knew how to use camcorders but I didn’t know how to use a tripod. Before shooting my preliminary I was introduced to the brief this included match on action, 180 degree rule and shot/reverse shot.

Editing process taught me how to put together my camera shots to make the scenes flow really nicely look effective. To expand my knowledge of using editing software. I decided to use Adobe After Effects Package CS6 for my opening introduction as I thought every movie has an opening introduction for people to recognise the production for example LionsGate, Columbia, DreamWorks etc. To help me with After Effects I used YouTube tutorials to help as I was a beginner and I needed some help with editing software.

An important thing I learnt was that planning is very necessary or everything would fall apart as I had to organise the costumes needed for my shoot and an actor. Also I had to work around the deadline for my title sequence as I didn’t really plan much for my preliminary but through that I have learnt how to be more organised and plan what I would be doing. Moreover I learnt storyboards are very important as they help and guide with the scenes, while on set. A weather report was also important as I had to plan which days I would be able shoot outside.
