    Why.is.understanding.this.distinction.important?..Because.if.your.practice.isnt.generating.the.revenue.it.needs.

    Marketing.is.the.total,.systematic.effort.by.a.business.(your.practice).to.compel.its.customers.(your.prospective.

    something.left.over.after.all.the.bills.were.paid.

    But.you.cant.run.a.medical.practice.like.that.nowadays.Most.businesses.today,.especially.larger.ones,.keep.track

    of.various.metrics.that.are.akin.to.the.vital.signs.of.a.patient.And.it.is.the.job.of.a.certain.executive.to.make.sure.

    that.those.vitals.stay.within.normal.limits.There.are.even.software.programs.available.that.show.a.dashboard.

    of.a.companys.nancials.at.a.glance.

    If.you.are.not.sure.where.to.even.get.started.with.metrics.and.benchmarking,.consider.hiring.a.practice.man-

    In evaluating EMR software product vendors, you should look for the following:

    1.. The.vendor.should.have.at.a.least.a.moderate.market.presence.-.you.dont.want.to.be.up.and.running..

    . with.your.EMR.system.only.to.nd.out.that.the.vendor.went.out.of.business

    2.. The.EMR.program.should.already.be.working.in.the.eld..Dont.go.with.a.just-released,.untested.product
