Ku-ring-gai Council provides and maintains 67 TENNIS COURTS at 20 locations. Courts are available for families, clubs, students and schools to enjoy the great game of tennis.

COURT HIRE TIMESNon-floodlit courts: 7am – Sunset Monday – Sunday

Floodlit Courts: 7am – 10pm Monday – Sunday

• The Glade floodlit courts, hire times from 7am – 8pm

• Roseville floodlit courts, hire times from 7am – 9.30pm, seven days.

• Hamilton Park tennis courts and Turramurra Memorial Park tennis courts, bookings may not commence until 8am Monday - Sunday.

• Killara Park, bookings may not commence until 8am on Sundays.

Council will continually monitor tennis court bookings prior to 8am, and if any issues arise at any particular location, bookings at that location shall revert back to 8am.

ACCESSWe leave all courts and facilities open (unless an ongoing security or vandalism issue needs addressing) to encourage the community to have easy and direct access to the courts. Please advise us if you can’t access your courts, whether by unbooked use, vandalism or maintenance problems.

Some facilities (including tennis shelters) are locked, access code or keys are available on request.

FLOODLIT COURTSAll lighting is controlled by a central computer at Council and individually scheduled to each venue. Lights are set to turn off about ten minutes after the last booking for the evening to allow safe exit from the courts.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY CAMPS/COME AND TRY DAYSCouncil is working with local coaches and Tennis NSW to expand the range of programs for students. Contact us for details on our current programs.

COACHESAll tennis coaches using our courts must be accredited and are required to register their details with us. Coaches can book either permanent or casual coaching times.

Courts can be booked on a permanent basis for a minimum of ten weeks and a maximum of one calendar year. Annual hire: Book for the entire calendar year (52 weeks) Permanent hire: Book 10 weeks or more

ANNUAL AND

ANNUAL HIRE• Community annual hirers have first

priority followed by annual tennis coaches/commercial hirers.

• Payments made in full save on any annual rise on 1 July each year.

• Courts are reserved for the whole calendar year (52 weeks) 1 court for 1 hour a week.

• Your booking is transferable to family members or friends (should you want a break).

• Access to any special promotions or social days organised by Council for permanent annual hirers.

• Any additional bookings you make will be at the permanent rate. Please confirm you are an annual hirer at the time of booking.

FLOODLIGHTSLighting is charged additionally at $7 per hour per court. A separate invoice may be sent for lighting due to the fluctuation in light use of most courts throughout the year.

PAYMENT OPTIONSPermanent hirers can pay at the time of booking or will be issued an invoice. Hirers may choose to have the second half of the year invoiced in July. Hirers would then need to pay any fee increases that start from 1 July each year.

ONLINE BOOKING FORMAnnual and permanent hirers are required to use the online booking form to request their preferred bookings. (link to form)

CONDITIONS OF HIREAnnual and permanent• Bookings will not automatically be continued

at the end of the year, hirers are responsible to request bookings to be renewed each calendar year. Council may reallocate your booking if an application is not received by the closing date.

• Bookings are available in timeslots commencing with one-hour blocks, increasing by half-hour increments.

• Annual bookings will be invoiced in December/January and July each year.

• Annual and permanent bookings cannot be rescheduled due to wet weather.

• Full cancellations or alterations to court hire times will be accepted in writing at least seven days prior to the date of hire.

• Courts may be unavailable due to vandalism, maintenance, repairs or resurfacing. In the event your court is affected, Council may offer an alternate court or booking time. If this is not a suitable solution, a credit will be offered.

• Credits will be offered at the permanent hourly rate only.

• As a courtesy to the next hirer, please vacate courts within two minutes of your booking time concluding.

• Use outside of booked times is not permitted.

• Failure to comply with the above conditions will result in the hirer remaining responsible for court charges.

Following confirmation of annual and permanent hirers, Council can accept casual bookings for 2020. Casual bookings requiring lights need to be made by 4pm on the day of booking (4pm Friday for weekend bookings). Please call after hours: 9424 0000 (includes maintenance and lighting issues) if submitting a booking at a floodlit facility past 4pm.

CASUAL Casual bookings are available for those players who wish to play less frequently. Bookings are made online or over the phone and our preferred payment method is by credit card at the time of booking.

• In the case of wet weather preventing play, all casual hirers are entitled to a 3 month wet weather credit, providing Council is notified within 48hrs of the original booking being washed out. Call 9424 0754 or email [email protected] at any time to notify of a wet weather adjustment.

• Credits are valid for up to three months and may be used during standard hours of play, providing courts and times are available for re-booking.

• In the event play is interrupted for other reasons, the hirer must provide documented evidence the designated courts were unusable to claim a credit (e.g. health warnings).

• The hirer is responsible for assessing the facility and playing conditions prior to the booking and advising Council at least 24 hours before the booked period if they choose to reschedule or move the booking if conditions do not suit their preference.

• 24 hours notice is required to change a booking.

• A school student rate is available Monday to Friday until 5pm for primary and secondary students only. Please request when booking on 9424 0754. Student rate only available when booking via phone.
