Catholic Appeal Update:

Thank you to all parishioners who made pledges to the 2019 Catholic Appeal. Our assessment for this year is $38,545. As of January 31st the amount of paid pledges was $37,882. This puts us at $662 under assessment. Please make every effort to send in your pledge. Thank you once again for your support.

Discípulos en Misión La arquidiócesis de Boston ha desarrollado un Plan Pastoral llamado: “Discípulos en Misión” Para revitalizar las parroquias y hacerlas más sólidas en la evangelización. El Cardenal Sean O’Malley ha pedido a todas las parroquias un plan de trabajo para 3 o 5 años. El equipo de Discípulos en Misión de nuestra parroquia ha venido trabajando durante casi un año en este plan. El día 08 de Marzo de 2pm a 7pm tendremos una convivencia para todos los que quieran aportar ideas sobre el Plan de Trabajo de nuestra Parroquia. Lenten Rules and Regulations

Abstinence: Catholics over 14 years of age are bound to the obligations of abstinence. Abstinence is to be observed on Ash Wednes-day and the Fridays of Lent. On days of absti-nence, meat may not be eaten at all.

Fast: Catholics over 18 and up to the begin-ning of their sixtieth year are bound to the obli-gation of fasting. Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are the days of fasting. On these days on-ly one full meal is allowed. Two other meatless meals, sufficient to maintain strength, may be taken according to each one’s needs, but togeth-er they should not equal another full meal. Eat-ing between meals is not permitted, but liquids, including milk and fruit juices are allowed.

Stations of the Cross will take place every Friday after the 7:00 pm Mass in Spanish beginning on the First Friday of Lent, March 6th.

Cuaresma Normas y Reglamentos

Abstinencia: Católicos mayores de 14 años de edad están obligados a las obligaciones de la abstinencia. La abstinencia comenzará en la celebración de Miércoles de Ceniza y los vier-nes de Cuaresma. En los días de abstinencia, la carne no se puede comer en absoluto.

Ayuno: los católicos mayores de 18 y hasta el comienzo de sus sesenta años están obligados al ayuno. Miércoles de Ceniza y el Viernes Santo son días de ayuno. En estos días sólo una comida completa está permitido. Las otras dos comidas sin carne, suficiente para mantener la fuerza, se pueden tomar de acuerdo a las necesidades de cada uno, pero juntas no deben igualar otra comida completa. Comer entre co-midas no es permitido, pero líquidos, incluyendo leche y jugos de fruta son permitidos.

El Vía Crucis se llevará a cabo todos los viernes después de la Misa de 7:00 pm en español. A partir del primer viernes de Cuaresma, 6 de marzo.

Toda intención que se realiza en nuestra parroquia NO tiene costo alguno, pero aceptamos
