No Previously On Lost:

1) INT. STAFF. DAY.

The camera is focused on an eye as it pulls back to reveal it is that of Jack and he isstanding in front of some sort of power box in the Staff Station. He flips a few switches andfinally the lights go on above his head and he looks up and the light shines down onto himin a sort of angelic way. Juliet walks up and says:

Juliet:

See, Jack... sometimes you just need a little faith.

Jack just looks at her and starts walking down the hall towards the OR. Juliet follows andon the walk she says to him:

Juliet:

Jack, there's one thing that bothers me about you...

Jack:

Just one?

Juliet:

(she laughs then gets serious again)... You know how I had your file... right?

Jack stops and turns back to her and nods in a rather unhappy way.

Juliet:

What happened to you?... I mean... up until you were 17 you were a regular at Sundaymass... then... nothing. You just... you just stopped going.

Jack turns and starts walking down the hall towards the OR again.

Juliet:

Sorry... you don't have to answer that... I was just... I found it strange. You used to believein something, but suddenly stopped.

Jack walks through the OR doors and he looks down at Ji Yeon who is lying on the tablealready prepped for surgery. Jin in sitting beside her holding her hand. Jack looks at the twoof them and turns back to Juliet who stopped in the doorway. He quite simply says:

Jack:

My father.... my father happened...

Juliet just looks at Jack as the camera cuts back to him and the flash sound starts....

2) --FLASH-- INT. SHEPHARD HOME. DAY.

Jack walks into the back door of his parent's house and into the kitchen where he spots abottle of vodka sitting on the counter top and it is nearly empty. He shakes his head and he

turns the corner into the hallway. He sees his mom sitting in the dining room alone andcrying. He stops and he looks at her. She looks up at him and gives him a rather dirty lookthen turns away. He shuts his eyes then rubs them. He turns and walks further down thehall and he sees an open letter on the table and a broken vase on the ground next to it. Heslowly walks up to the letter and he picks it up. It is dated "July 28th, 2004." He glancesdown over it and it says: "St. Sebastian Board of Directors have made a final ruling todismiss Dr. Christian Shephard from the Medical Board permanently due to lack ofjudgement and apparent personal issues." Jack sits the letter down and looks into theliving-room where he sees his father sitting on a chair with an empty bottle beside him. Jackwalks in and before Christian even sees him he says:

Christian:

At least they're giving me my pension...

Jack looks down. Christian gets up and turns towards Jack.

Christian:

You did the right thing Jack, the right thing for the hospital... the right thing for thatpregnant girl that I killed...

Jack rolls his eyes and says:

Jack:

You didn't kill her, dad... you have a problem... it's that simple.

Christian smiles and shakes his head in agreement.

Christian:

Oh, I have a problem all right...

Christian walks over to the piano and he looks as some photos and some awards that areon display. There is a photo of Jack and he appears to be at the "St. FrancisChristian Summer Camp." He appears to be in his teens.

Christian:

Remember when you went there... that summer...

Jack:

Yeah, you did just about everything you could to stop me from getting out of the car... youwanted me to go to the science camp instead...

Christian:

Yeah... man, you put up a fight... you wanted to go so bad that summer...

Jack:

Well, part of it was that we got to go to Scotland... I couldn't pass that up.

Christian:

No... I know why you went. Ever since you were beaten up by that boy in grammar school...and I told you that you didn't have what it took...

Jack:

No...

Christian:

Yes, Jack. Ever since that day, you wanted to do everything in your power so you didn't turn

out like me...

Jack:

That's not true...

Christian:

Then you found out that I used to be just as religious... and you stopped. Jack, I'm yourfather, I know how you think...

Jack looks down. Christian picks something up from on the piano and walks over to Jack.Jack says:

Jack:

Dad, when did you start drinking so much? Why did you let this happen to yourself?

Christian, who is looking down, looks up and directly into Jack's eyes and says:

Christian:

I started when the nightmares started, Jack...

Jack just looks at him and is about to say something, but is interrupted when Christian

hands Jack something. Jack looks at it and says:

Jack:

Why are you giving me this?

Christian:

You'll always be a man of science, won't you son?

Christian pats Jack on the shoulder and he walks into the hallway then out the front doorwearing a tan trench coat and a cap. Jack watches him go and then looks down at whatChristian handed him. It is a photo of Jack with Brother Campbell! There is a glass case witha necklace and on the bottom of that necklace is a black stone just like what was found onAdam and Eve! Jack shuts his eyes as the flash sound begins again...

3) --END OF FLASH-- INT. STAFF STATION. DAY.

Jack has cut Ji Yeon open and Juliet is helping with the surgery. Jin stands in the cornerlooking very worried. The camera cuts to:

4) EXT. JUNGLE. DAY.

Richard is looking at Ms. Hawking and she is looking up in the sky. Daniel, Charlotte andKaname are watching on quiet and wide-eyed. Richard grabs Hawking and she shootsaround and looks at him and slaps his hands away from her.

Ms. Hawking:

Who the bloody hell are you and how do you know my name?!

Richard:

It's Richard... you don't... you don't remember me?!

Ms. Hawking:

Were you on the ship or something?

Richard:

Yeah... I was on the ship...

Ms. Hawking:

You don't sound English... were you an American Convict? My boy... what horrible luck...you must have boarded the wrong ship. The Black Rock was destined for Australia.

Richard:

I... I know. But, I had to come here... to the Island. You remember the Island don't you?

Ms. Hawking:

How could I remember the Island?! You were on the vessel when it was picked up and puthere...(she looks off and up to the meteor)... by the hand of God himself, perhaps...

Richard looks hopeless. He turns back to Kaname, Charlotte and Daniel.

Charlotte:

This doesn't look to be productive...

Richard:

She must have been reset like the Island was... but... I don't understand how. She nevermentioned being on the Black Rock...

Daniel:

Richard... you never knew where she came from in the first place.

Kaname:

Or why she never aged. I bet it has something to do with that.

Kaname points up to the meteor falling towards the Island. Richard looks up at it andthinks. He turns back to Hawking.

Richard:

Where's the captain?!

Ms. Hawking:

You mean my husband, then? He went off looking for something... he didn't say what.

Richard, Kaname and Daniel all look at each-other. The camera cuts to:

5) EXT. CRATER. DAY.

Kate, Claire and Aaron are walking and they reach the side of the enormous crater/field.They all look across and Claire has a quick flash...

5A) Claire's dream from 6.5: The camera is focused on a field and we see Aaron walkinghand-in-hand with someone through the field. The two of them continue to walk in thebright sunlight until they reach what appears to be the middle of it. Then, whoever waswalking with Aaron lets go of his hand and being to walk off, leaving Aaron there all alone.Then a quick clip of the Island in a giant fireball! The flash ends.

Claire:

Kate! Why did you bring us here?!

Claire turns to Kate and seems very scared. She looks at Kate and screams:

Claire:

Why did you bring us here?!

Kate just looks past Claire staring at something. Claire grabs Kate and Kate doesn'trespond, she turns around and looks at what Kate's looking at and it is the Captain of theBlack Rock: Jacob. The music builds and the camera cuts to:

6) EXT. BEACH. DAY.

The music softens as the camera is focused on Sayid and then it pulls back to reveal himkneeling down over a grave with a necklace cross hanging from it. He shuts his eyes andsays:

Sayid:

I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to come visit in some time now... Things have been out ofhand... a lot of misery has befallen us, but not as much misery that fell upon me the day

when I held your lifeless body in my arms and carried you here.

It is obvious that Sayid is at Shannon's grave.

Sayid:

I loved you, Shannon... I truly did, but I have to move on and I have to do what isnecessary for me to save our friends... save Nadia.

Just then, behind Sayid, we see someone walk up behind him! Sayid hears this and hejumps up and turns around with a tear falling down his face and his fists raised. His

expression changes to disbelief when the camera pulls back hind the man standing there.

Sayid:

Boone?!

The camera does a complete 180 and there stands Boone and he has a blank, yetserious, look on his face.

Sayid:

How are you... ?!

Boone doesn't say anything, instead, he opens up his hand and in his palm are the blackand white stones that Jack found on Adam and Eve. Sayid looks confused as he looks atBoone and the music builds...

Boone:

You have work to do, Sayid.

The music builds as the camera cuts to:

Charlotte and Daniel are sitting on some logs as Kaname and Richard are talking witheach-other about 30 feet away. Daniel puts his arm around Charlotte and says:

Daniel:

How are you doing?

Charlotte:

Oh, I'm bloody fantastic, Dan... I watched my father, whom I hated, die then just found out

that he was doing everything he could to spare my life...

Daniel:

You didn't know... and he would have said something before Sanjit shot him if he wantedyou to save him... you know that. You did what he wanted you to do...

Charlotte:

I don't know. I don't know about anything anymore... my whole life has been torn apart thispast few weeks... first I find out my mum is alive and being held prisoner here by some

psychopath then she gives up her life to save me... my father turns out to be my uncle andmy uncle is really my father... then to top off the flood of good news, I find out my mum is

telekinetic and I might be too!

Daniel:

I...

Charlotte:

And those people... all those people back there on the Hydra... they died, for me. So the DIcouldn't use me... or kill me. You know what else?

Daniel:

I...

Charlotte:

Miles was right all along. Bloody Miles was right all along... he said the man with the tubeswas going to do something bad... and that I had to die.

Daniel:

Look, Miles didn't know what he was talking about... he only knew what he was shown.Right? Maybe he wasn't shown everything.

Charlotte:

I think he knew, Dan... and I think he was right. I think all of you would be better off if Iwere dead...

Daniel looks down. Charlotte is in tears and Daniel pulls a handkerchief out of his pocketand is about to hand it to her. Charlotte puts her hand up to grab it, but Daniel's hand isabout a foot away. Without thinking or doing anything at all, the handkerchief moves fromDaniel's hand - through mid air - to Charlotte's. She doesn't even notice, but Daniel does.

He looks up at her and his eyes grow wide. He jumps up and runs over to Kaname andRichard.

Daniel:

That! (he points to the meteor) That's the Epsilon meteor!

Richard:

Yeah...

Kaname:

What?! Why didn't you say anything?!

Richard:

Because... what could we do? It's gonna hit... and the loop... it will continue.

Daniel:

Not if we use Charlotte! That thing's getting closer... maybe close enough to feel it's effects!We can move before it hits!

Richard, Daniel and Kaname all turn and look back at Charlotte who is sitting on the logcrying. The camera cuts to:

8) INT. STAFF STATION. DAY.

Jack is carefully preforming surgery on Ji Yeon as Juliet looks over at Jin. Jin lookshorrible. Juliet says to Jack:

Juliet:

You got this?

Jack:

Yeah... go ahead.

Juliet takes her mask off and walks over to Jin and sits down next to him on the floor. Jinlooks at her. Juliet flashes a small smile and says:

Juliet:

How are you holding up?

Jin:

I'm... ok.

Juliet:

I mean your suture from your kidney transplant... you should still be resting... not trekkingthrough the jungle.

Jin:

I'm ok. How is she?

Juliet:

Jack's doing everything he can, but Jin...

Jin:

I know...

Juliet:

Sun would be so proud... Ji Yeon, I still can't believe it... it was only a month ago when Isaw her on the ultrasound...

Jin closes his eyes and appears to be upset. Juliet notices. She puts her arm around Jinand says:

Juliet:

She would be proud... of both of you. Wherever she is... I bet she is looking down andsmiling right now... All she wanted was for the baby to be yours... she knew that you would

be the best for Ji Yeon... and she was right, you know... you are.

Just then, the machines start freaking out and there is a squirt of blood that shoots upand hits Jack's chest. Juliet jumps up and rushes over to the table as Jin jumps up and lookson with worry. Jack screams:

Jack:

Damn it! The bullet musta shattered when it hit her spine! There's pieces everywhere!!

Juliet grabs some clothes and she starts stopping the bleeding. Jack closes his eyes andbegins to count to himself:

Jack:

1,2,3...

Juliet notices this and looks at Jack as the camera cuts to:


Kate and Claire stop and watch the Captain about 40 feet away walking towards themiddle of the field. He doesn't notice them. Kate turns to Claire and says:

Kate:

Stay here with Aaron... I'll be right back.

Claire:

Where are you going, Kate?!

Kate:

I'm going to find out who this guys is... stay here.

Claire:

Why are we here?

Kate:

You trust me, don't you?

Claire doesn't say anything. Kate starts off towards the Captain. Kate reaches him as henears the middle of the field and looks down. Kate gets to him and he turns around very

slowly. Kate sees his mirrored eye and jumps back.

Captain Jacob:

Aye, lass.... what is this, then?

Kate looks down. She sees that there is a submarine style hatch door with a wheel yougot to turn to open it.

Kate:

I... I don't know...

Captain Jacob:

Help me open it, will ya?

Kate just looks at him. She nods her head that she'll help.

Kate:

What's your name?

Captain Jacob:

Jacob.

Kate looks at him and bites her lip. She bends down to help open the hatch as thecamera cuts to:

10) EXT. GRAVEYARD. DAY.

Sayid is standing there looking at Boone in disbelief.

Boone:

You've got to go to the Swan, Sayid... you need to do something before the meteor hits.

Sayid:

The meteor?!

Boone points in the sky. He turns back to Sayid.

Boone:

She loves you, you know... she says that you saved her.

Sayid:

I... I let her die!

Boone:

No, Sayid. You accepted her for what she was... you believed her when she said she sawWalt. You stuck by her side and you didn't abandon her like everyone else always had...

even me. You saw what was special inside of her and you didn't let go of that.

Sayid looks down at Shannon's grave. He turns back to Boone.

Sayid:

What do I have to do in the Swan?

Boone:

You need to activate it. You need it to dam the power once the meteor hits... if you don't...

Sayid:

If I don't, what?!

Boone:

Locke doesn't know I'm talking to you. He can't know. He doesn't want this to happen...

Sayid:

What do I have to do Boone?!

Boone:

You'll need these. (Boone opens his hand to reveal the stones) They're holmium...

Sayid:

That's how you're here right now...

Boone:

Sayid grabs the stones and looks down at them.

Boone:

Don't tell Locke.

Sayid looks up and Boone is gone. Sayid turns and looks. He turns in circles.

Sayid:

Boone! Boone! What do I do with them?! Boone!

Sayid turns in circles looking for Boone and the flash sound begins...

11) --FLASH-- INT. 50'S STYLE DINER. DAY.

The camera is focused on the jukebox of a 50's style diner as the song "Johnny B.Goode" by Chuck Berry plays: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eY4s-lSlsfw. The cameraturns to reveal all kinds of kids in their poodle skirts and school sweaters swinging anddancing around. This is where we realize that it is the same diner from 5.12, "Johnny BeGood." The camera cuts behind a girl who is walking through the diner to the very lastbooth where a man sits and smiles at her. She sits down across from him. She says:

Girl:

Hi!

Guy:

Does she know?

He smiles at her. She smiles back.

Girl:

No, my mother has no idea... she hates that I see you.

Guy:

Well, I am about twice your age...

Girl:

That's why I like you... I can trust you. I can rely on you... you aren't like the 16 year oldboys I meet.

Guy:

Like the one who got you pregnant, you mean...

The camera pulls back to reveal that she is rather pregnant.

Anthony:

What?! Emily, what about the baby?

Emily:

Anthony:

Listen... I know I said I'll help you take care of this baby... but Emily... think about it. I'mnot ready for a baby... neither are you.

Emily:

What? Why are you saying this?!

Anthony:

I'm saying... I'm saying you should give him up.

Emily:

Anthony:

I asked you to come to Yuma cause I'm thinking about moving to Arizona. We can betogether... away from your mom...

Emily:

What are you saying?

Anthony:

Give the baby up for adoption. It's the only way. Think about it, Emily.

Anthony gets up and walks out of the diner. The camera cuts to him outside where he

walks to his car and a man approaches him from behind.

Man:

Did you do it?

Anthony:

Yes... damn it.

He turns around. It is Richard!

Richard:

Good. Someday you will rely on John for help... the only way for you to get that help is ifyou just disappear from their life. Do you understand me?

Anthony doesn't understand and you can tell by the look on his face. Richard handsAnthony a piece of paper. Anthony looks down at it and it says "John's Blood Type is ONegative." Anthony looks really confused as Richard walks off. It is rather obvious thisis foreshadowing how Cooper found John as a kidney match. The flash sound begins...

12) --END OF FLASH-- INT. SANTA ROSA. DAY.

The camera is focused on a photo of John Locke as the flash sound ends. The cameracuts up to Emily Locke who is holding it and in the background we can see Sawyer walk inthrough the main doors of the institution! He walks up to the front desk and Nurse Cratchitfrom "5.7" steps forward and says:

Nurse Cratchit:

How can I help you?

Sawyer:

I'm here to sign the release papers for Elizabeth Staples.

Sawyer looks across the common room and sees Libby standing there looking at him witha smile on her face. The music builds and the camera cuts to:

13) EXT. HYDRA ISLAND. DAY.

The camera is focused on the beach and footsteps in the sand and it pans up to revealthey came from the submarine that is sitting just offshore. The camera cuts back to Frankand Walt walking through the jungle and Walt looks tired.

Walt:

Where are we going!?

Frank:

I told you, I have a plan...

Walt stops. Frank keeps going and realizes that Walt isn't following. He turns around.

Frank:

Come on!

Walt:

I'm not goin' anywhere else with you unless you tell me what we're doing over here! Weshould be back there helping Kate and Claire!

Frank:

Walt, we need to find a way off this Island....

Walt:

Would you stop thinking about yourself!

Frank:

I'm not! Damn it! Look up!

Walt looks up and the camera cuts to the meteor, which appears to be a hell of a lotcloser than it was before. Walt shoots a look down to Frank.

Walt:

What's that?!

Frank:

That's a meteor and I am almost certain that it will be hitting the Island.

Walt:

What makes you think that?!

Frank:

Where else would it hit? I mean... think about it... as little the chances of it actually hittinghere, I'd say that I'm 100% sure it will have a direct impact with this place...

Walt:

Why?!

Frank:

Because this place is a damned magnet for bad luck!

Frank turns and starts walking back towards wherever they were going.

Walt:

So what are we gonna do?!

Frank:

They have runways, Walt... that means they have planes...

Walt:

So we just gonna fly out of here without everyone?!

Frank:

No! Stop thinking of me as such a heartless coward! I'm not your father!

At that, Walt stops. Frank realizes that what he had just said was way out of line. Waltturns and walks in the other direction.

Frank:

Walt! I'm sorry! I didn't... I didn't mean that!

Walt:

Screw you!

Walt walks off into the jungle. Frank is about to follow him, but then shakes his head and

continues on towards the runway. The camera cuts to:

14) EXT. JUNGLE. MAIN ISLAND. DAY.

Sayid is making his way through the jungle towards the Swan Station. He is holding theblack and white stones in his hand and says to himself:

Sayid:

What do I do with these?

He keeps walking then it dawns on him. He whips out his walkie and he radios Daniel.

Sayid:

Daniel, you there? Come in Daniel.

The camera cuts back and forth between the convo. Richard picks up his walkie. It is nowfuzzy and very static filled. Sayid notices and looks up at the meteor.

Richard:

This is Richard, Sayid?

Sayid:

Richard, please, put Daniel on.

Daniel:

Yeah, Sayid... what's up?

Sayid:

I need you to meet me at the Swan Station...

Daniel:

Why?

Sayid:

There's something we need to do there... before this meteor hits.

The camera cuts to Daniel's face as he looks a bit confused. Then he realizes it. He looksreally worried.

Daniel:

Oh God! I totally wasn't thinking!! We need to activate it!!

Sayid:

Yes, that's what Boone said.

Daniel:

Boone?... Listen to me... we need to get our hands on some holmium for this.

Sayid:

I got it covered.

Daniel:

Get there as soon as you can...

Daniel looks at Charlotte and Kaname.

Daniel:

Kaname, stay here with Richard... Charlotte, come with me.

Kaname:

Where are you going?

Daniel:

... hopefully you won't have to find out.

Daniel looks really nervous and in a real hurry. He grabs Charlotte's arm and the two ofthem run off into the jungle. The camera cuts back to Sayid. He is walking across the smallclearing where Kate and Claire made camp the night before. He comes across the campfireand then he sees it: The map/note that Kate left behind. He picks it up and reads it. Hesees that it is a map of the Island to the crater and sees that it is addressed to Kate. Themessage reads "Take Aaron here" with an arrow to the crater! He hurries and he whips outhis walkie. The camera cuts to:

Jack finishes up stitching Ji Yeon's back. Juliet cuts the stitch and Jack rips off his glovesand his mask. He looks at Juliet who is staring at him for some sort of answer or diagnosisfor Ji Yeon's condition.

Jack:

She should be fine, but Juliet... there's only like... a 4% chance this actually worked.

Juliet:

Will she survive?

Jack:

Yeah, she should totally recover, but... using her legs again? I don't think so...

Jack walks past her and removes his scrubs. Juliet pauses and looks at him.

Juliet:

I saw you counting...

Jack pauses then looks at her.

Jack:

Yeah?

Juliet:

It amazes me... how you even control your fear... how do you do it?

Jack:

How do I...

Jack, who looks really tired, throws his gloves across the room and walks up to Juliet. Hegets really in her face and says:

Jack:

Everyone always thinks I'm so in control of everything... that I never lose my cool... that

I'm never afraid... I'm human, Juliet. I am afraid. I am probably more afraid than anyoneelse on this damn Island, but you know the difference between me and them?!

Juliet, who looks shocked at this reaction, shakes her head "no."

Jack:

I don't believe in anything. I count and when I count... I think to myself just how ridiculousit is to fear something... fear something that I don't even believe in. By the time I reach 5...my mind is so clouded with questions about doubt and certainty that I don't even remember

to be afraid anymore. That's how I survive here... that's why I'm also so "in control".... bybeing so out of control...

Juliet looks down then she looks up at Jack just as the walkie goes off. It is Sayid.

Sayid:

Jack?!

Jack:

Yeah, Sayid...

Sayid:

You need to get to the crater!

Jack:

What?!

Sayid:

Kate... and Claire... they're headed to the Crater with Aaron... I'm certain that the meteor isgoing to hit there.

Jack and Juliet's expressions change to urgency. Jack closes his eyes and breathes hard.

Jack:

Why would they be going to the damn crater?!

Sayid:

I don't know... I found a map they left behind at their campsite. Their tracks appear to haveheaded in that direction. Jack, you're the closest one there.

Jack:

Sayid, if you found the map, you are!

Sayid:

Jack, I need to get to the Swan. I need to....

The static gets harsher and harsher until the radio just cuts out. Jack looks at Juliet andthen rushes towards the door.

Jack:

Stay here with her! Do not go outside! If this thing... if this...

Juliet can tell Jack is flustered.

Juliet:

I got it, Jack... Go! They need you!

Jack nods and he opens the doors to the outside of the station. He looks out and in thesky in the distance we can see the meteor and it is bigger than ever! Jack's eyes grow huge

and Juliet is standing with the same expression behind him. He turns to her and he startsout, but she grabs him and pulls him back. She hugs him tight and she kisses him on thecheek.

Juliet:

You don't have to sacrifice yourself, you know...

Jack:

Yes, Juliet... I do.

There is a pause as they just look at each-other.

Juliet:

Be careful, Jack.

Jack nods and he heads out of the station and into the jungle. Juliet watches him go,then pulls the doors shut. SLAM. The flash sound starts...

16) --FLASH-- INT. JACK'S APARTMENT. NIGHT.

The room is dark and we can't see much of anything, but we can hear Jack talking in hissleep. We can then hear him breathing heavily then we hear him sit straight up in bed andscream:

Jack:

AHh! No, Kate!

There is dead silence as we see Jack's figure in the bed sitting there. Suddenly, thephone rings and we hear, but can't see, Jack answer it in the dark from bed. We can't hearanyone on the other line, but we can hear Jack say:

Jack:

Hello... yeah... you've got to be kidding... I'll be right there!

Jack hangs up the phone and we then see him turn the light on next to his bed. The lightfloods the room and we see an empty bottle of vodka sitting on the nightstand beside him.We then see that it is Jack with the beard and he has sweat all over his forehead. Jack slams the phone down and then pulls into the parking garage of St. Sebastian'shospital. The camera cuts to:

18) --FLASH CON'T-- INT. HOSPITAL. NIGHT.

Jack is in the waiting room just staring at the doors as if he is waiting for news aboutsomeone or something. He is sitting there and then someone sits down beside him. Thecamera pulls back and we see it is Ben! Jack turns to him, then looks away.

Jack:

What the hell are you doing here?

Ben:

When I heard, Jack... I knew that you'd need someone to talk to...

Jack:

So I guess that makes you my best friend now, huh?

Ben:

No, the fact you've managed to alienate everyone you loved and pushed them all away,yeah, I suppose it does make me your best friend now, Jack.

Jack looks at the doctor and you can tell that he feels resentment. Jack stands up andwalks down the hall. Ben stands up and looks at the doctor.

The camera cuts to Jack who appears to be standing looking out through a window asBen walks up to him and looks through the window as well. He gets a smile on his face andputs a hand on Jack's shoulder.

If you want to go back, Jack... he's a sacrifice the Island will demand.

Jack:

Jack starts to laugh in an almost psychotic way. He then looks at Ben.

Jack:

I told her that I'd be no part of his life... we both agreed that would be best for him. I knewthe second that... that he said we had to go back... that I couldn't have anything back

Locke simply point upwards. Claire looks up and the meteor is really close. Her eyes growlarge and she shoots a look back down to Locke.

This, Claire, is Aaron's destiny.

Claire:

23) --FLASH-- INT. GYMNASIUM. DAY.

We see the 16 year old Locke as he stands in front of a model of the solar system. Thecamera pulls back and we see that he is in a school gym full of science projects and there isa banner that reads "Science Fair" above him. The judges are walking down the isles lookingat all the projects and they stop in front of Locke's.

Judge:

Hello, John... what you got here?

Locke:

It's a working model of the solar system... showing the cycle of the planets and their solidunbreaking pattern of rotation around the sun.

Judge:

Very nice, John... but did you say solid pattern?

Locke:

Yes. The planets, as you see, all have a set cycle... that never changes. Its as if they aredesigned to work like clockwork, like a perfect science.

Judge:

That is very good, John, but you know that you are a bit mistaken... their cycle around thesun each year has been recorded to become fractions of milliseconds shorter in each

rotation. They are being slowly drawn in by the gravity of the sun.

We can tell that Locke is frustrated that he was being told he's wrong. The camera pullsback as if we are watching from someone else's perspective. Suddenly we hear a voice.

The music builds as the two of them walk towards the center of the field and the meteoris now brighter and it's so close we can see the tail of it as it falls towards the Earth. Thecamera cuts to:

25) INT. SANTA ROSA. DAY.

Libby is now dressed and holding a bag as her and Sawyer walk towards the doors. Libbysays to him:

Libby:

Thank you for doing this...

Sawyer:

Well... I heard you are a good clinical psychologist... and I could use you for a study I'mdoing...

Oh... right... that wasn't here when you knew the Swan... that is the regulator. It regulatesthe collection of the electromagnetivity. When the Incident happened in '79... happens...

Aaron shakes his head. Locke looks at the open Epsilon hatch, but looks up and sees thatmeteor is very, very close. He turns and decides to walk towards the jungle. The cameracuts to Claire, who seemingly can't move, (as we saw in her dream in 6.5). She looks upand we see Christian standing there. She says to him:

Claire:

You! Why'd you have Locke take him?!

Christian:

Me? I showed you that dream, Claire... to prevent this from happening.

Claire:

You? You... showed me that dream?!

Christian:

I also told you to keep Aaron away from Kate, but you didn't listen to me then either.

Claire:

At that, the word "weak," Claire sees Jack on the one side of the field. She looks and wesee Locke on the other side. She looks up and the meteor is only moments from hitting. Shelooks back and forth as the camera cuts to Jack standing on the one side of the field. Helooks across and he sees Locke and in the middle he sees Aaron. He looks up and sees themeteor. With that, Jack starts sprinting towards the center of the field! Locke turns and seesJack running for Aaron. Locke looks angry as he turns and he runs towards the middle andAaron. The camera cuts to Aaron standing there. He screams:

Aaron:

Mommy!

The camera cuts to the inside of the Epsilon just below. Kate turns and looks up out of

the hatch. The captain says to her:

Captain Jacob:

You need to leave. You need to save him.

Kate:

What?!

Captain Jacob turns and shoots a look at Kate. She sees her reflection in his eye as hesays to her:

Captain Jacob:

It's time to stop running. This is what you have to do. Redeem yourself, Kate.

Kate looks at the Captain and seems wary. He then shouts:

Captain Jacob:

Go!!!

Kate jumps back and she then begins to crawl up the ladder. The camera cuts to Claireas she is standing there with Christian.

Claire:

Damn it, Aaron!!!!

Christian:

You need to let them do this, Claire. This isn't your decision. Let them decide our fate.

Claire looks at Christian and she closes her eyes and she appears to think really reallyhard. Then, out of nowhere, she manages to break free and move and she punchesChristian in the face! He is actually hit! She screams:

Claire busts free and runs past Christian. He looks up and smiles as he watches Clairerun towards the middle of the field towards Aaron. The camera cuts from above as Jack andLocke run from the East and West and Claire runs from the North. We then see Kate pop outof the hatch and she is just South of where Aaron is. The music builds and the camera cutsto Jack who is running and we hear a loud sound overhead! Jack is breathing hard and thecamera shows Locke pick up speed! Jack shuts his eyes and he too picks up speed! Thecamera cuts to:

28) INT. SANTA ROSA. DAY.

Sawyer is on his cell phone. We hear him say:

Sawyer:

You said that Jin was to deliver the watch to a Christian Shephard, right?

The camera cuts to Christian as he talks to Emily in the visitor's room. He is sitting acrossfrom her and he holds her hands as he says:

Christian:

I'm sorry I had to do this... commit you.

Emily:

Why'd you do it?

Christian:

I had to. The dreams... they told me that I couldn't let you tell John. I can't explain it... Imean... I could be wrong.

Emily:

Why are you here?

Christian:

I'm going to Australia. I wanted to say goodbye first and I wanted to tell you that if youwant to, you can tell John about me. The dreams, they don't make any sense.

Emily:

And I'm the one who is committed.

The camera cuts to Sawyer in the lobby with Libby. He looks down at his watch and hehands it to Libby. He says:

I think if he gets this... everything will end... and we'll be ok.

Libby takes the watch and she starts off towards Christian. The camera cuts to:

Sayid and Daniel are at their respective valves they need to turn. Charlotte is standing infront of the third. She is holding the holmium rocks in her hand. Daniel looks at her andsays:

Daniel:

They need to be placed in the top of the machine. You can do this, Charlotte. I believe inyou.

Charlotte closes her eyes and she holds her hand out. The rocks being to rise off of herhand! She is really concentrating as they rise up above them! Sayid looks absolutely

shocked as he watches this. Daniel turns to him and Daniel smiles. The rocks make theirway to the top of the machine and there is a little chamber in which says "HolmiumActuator." The rocks are almost there as Charlotte loses concentration and they start tocome back to her. The camera cuts to:

Libby makes her way to the car. She opens the door and gets in. She doesn't sayanything. Sawyer stares at her and says:

Sawyer's expression turns to "oh crap" and he shoots a look at Libby.

He said he won't see her again... that he has work to do... something about an Island andthat the watch was the sign he'd been waiting for... to seal his fate. Really, I think he

Sawyer slams his hands down on the steering wheel.

Claire runs up and shegrabs Aaron as Kate comes out of the hatch and stands there. There is a really loud sound,the same Jack heard as he ran towards Aaron. Kate says to Claire:

Kate:

What's going on?!

Claire:

You tell me!!!

Just then, we hear a voice from above.

Voice:

Come on!

They look up and there is Frank! He's in a helicopter! He sits it down next to all of them.

Frank:

Come on! We don't have much time!!

Kate turns to Claire.

Kate:

Go! Go!

Claire, holding Aaron, runs to the helicopter. There are the sounds of whispers as shedoes this. It sounds exactly like Desmond!

Desmond:

What I saw, Charlie, was Claire and her baby getting into a helicopter. A helicopter that liftsoff.... leaves this Island.

Claire looks around for Desmond, but he isn't there. This is exactly what he told Charliehe saw in "Greatest Hits." Claire gets up onto the helicopter. She turns and yells to Kate:

Kate turns and she jumps up on the helicopter just as Frank slams it into gear and thehelicopter takes off. Jack lets go of Locke and watches as the helicopter leaves. The twomen, brothers, lay there and Jack looks up at the meteor as it is about to hit. He looks

terribly afraid as he just says to himself:

Jack:

I believe... I believe... I believe... I believe!

The flash sound begins...

32) --FLASH-- EXT. JUNGLE. DAY.

It is pouring down rain as Jack, Kate and Charlie run for their lives from the cockpitsection of 815. Charlie trips and Jack helps him up. Charlie takes off running and he turnsaround and we see that Jack isn't behind him. He screams:

Charlie:

Jack?!

The camera cuts to Jack running, when suddenly, he is lifted up off the ground! We can'tsee what has lifted him, but it is obviously the monster as it flashes Jack repeatedly andJack stares on in shock. Then nothing. Jack just stares, then the camera cuts to a side viewof Jack being held by the monster! The Smoke Monster is jet black, but when it is doneflashing Jack it appears to turn to a bright white light!! Jack stares at it and in the reflectionof Jack's eye we can see something falling towards him. Then we see a mass amount of fire.Jack looks horrified as the Smoke Monster then sits him down, still a bright white color. It

then vanishes into the jungle leaving Jack standing there in awe. The flash sound begins...

Juliet and Jin are sitting against the wall looking at Ji Yeon. Juliet is asleep as Jin stares

at his daughter. We, the viewer, can still hear Jack's chant, but they can't in the Staff.Suddenly, we see Ji Yeon's toes moving from under the sheets! Jin jumps up in extremehappiness and he pushes Juliet!

Jin:

Juliet! Juliet! Look!

Juliet wakes up and she looks at what Jin's pointing to. Juliet smiles in disbelief and thehappy music grows! Suddenly BANG!!! The whole Station shakes violently! Jin and Julietgrab on to each-other for balance as the Happy music cuts out and there is nothing butcomplete silence as the station stops shaking. Jin and Juliet look at each-other and they runto the door. Juliet opens it with the help of Jin. She pokes her head out and her face shows

complete horror as the camera pulls back and we see that the jungle is on fire! It pulls backfurther and we see the ball of flame moving away from the center of the crater just as wesaw in Claire's dream in 6.5. The camera keeps pulling back and we see the vastdevastation of the main Island as the flames push out from the center of the crater andwork their way outward. The music reaches it's peak and the camera cuts to:
