60+ VC – Project meeting

Paris, 24th-28th of April 2017

DAY 1

Arrival of the participants

9 workshops have been implemented. Recruitment

through the association’s newsletter, therefore

participants had a fair ICT level.

2 sessions of activities has been conducted: Cultural

Internet Orientation, Digital Mobility. At the end of each

session of activities, surveys were implemented in order

to evaluate the users’ experience. Results were

satisfying.

Presentation Czech Republic

Cooperation with a senior centre called Elpida. Majority

women, Prague residents. Basic knowledge of ICT tools.

Keyword searches, training about security online, visits

of museums, galleries, places etc.

9 sessions in total. They prepared a kind of

story/discussion.

1 young teacher, 1 senior teacher and 1 assistant

Very basic questionnaire with 3 questions (positive and

negative aspects + eventual further comments)

The age of the participants is not so important because the important aspects were about the knowledge

and the expertise of the participants. They provided presentations to each participant at the end of each

session. The last cultural visit was planned at the national theatre.

Recommendations:

- at least 2 lecturers to 10 learners

- individual support and approach

- patience with seniors

- avoid too professional terminology

- give the opportunity to learners to present their own experience

Google Arts and Culture

Presentation Poland

Recruitment process: people from regular courses, new seniors, positioning tests.

13 participants

Blog editors, training for the Blogger platform.

Evaluation:

Good balance regarding theoretical and practical lessons, too big group with different level and needs of

attention, difficulty to use different devices.

Expectations and most interesting topics: photo/data transfer

1) Working session on social media

Security about Facebook is really important, if we explain this quite well, seniors will not be afraid about FB.

Sometimes seniors do not see the benefits for having a Facebook account.

Creation of a Facebook page

An infography will be prepared by Marcin and each partner will translate it in each national language.

Schedule: POL (May), FR (June), CZ (July), IT (September).

Each partner will put information regarding events organized at local level or articles, photos etc.

Dissemination strategy

Creation of the leaflet (infography) by Marcin and each partner will translate it in its own language.

Creation of a template for gathering all dissemination activities (available on Google Drive).

Selection of pictures from the blog to put in the FB page.

2) Working session in E-Seniors’ courses (20th district of Paris)

5) Digital treasure hunting

4 steps to follow for creating treasure hunting:

- Situating the path: Cemetery of Père Lachaise

- Creating questions regarding detected points (entrance, Proust, Wilde, Modigliani, Piaf, memorials)

- Integrating the questions into a document or QR codes etc.

- The roll-out of the treasure hunting

Next steps:

- Dissemination activities and updating of the FB page

- The next workshops will be discussed and organized during a Skype session in July and during the

next joint staff partner meeting scheduled in Reggio Calabria between 19th of September and 23rd

of September 2017.
