Macmillan Coffee Morning

The final total raised by our coffee morning is £607.65, thank you so much to everyone for attending and baking for this very worth-while charity.

Harvest Service

Don’t forget our Harvest Ser-vice on Monday 10th October at 9.15 am in church being led led by our Year 2 children—all welcome. Donations of tinned and dried food for the Salva-tion Army can be brought into school by 10th October at the latest, thank you. Please see attached flyer.

The PTFA Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 13th October in school at 7pm after the Tower Wood Meeting for our Year 5 & 6 parents. Hope to see you all there.

Cauliflower Cards

This year we are taking part in the Cauliflower Cards Christ-mas Card Project. Your child will be bringing home their design and an order form, please return these back to school with any monies by Friday 14th October. Thank you.

New Longton’s Got Talent

Thank you to everyone who attended our show last Friday,

we had a fantastic evening with very talented acts. A huge

thank you to all staff and volunteers for their hard work and

time. Also, well done to all the children for taking part and

putting on such an entertaining

show! Fantastic!

On Monday Year 5 had a fantastic day at Hoghton Tower, to learn about life during the Tudor period.

This lottery has been set up specifically to raise

money and make a difference for our children!

It's a fantastic way to bring Parents, Carers,

Teachers and the wider community together, in

partnership with our school, and at the same

time give something back. We hope to raise funds

that can support and enrich the education of our

children who deserve the best we can give them.

The PTFA will use the additional funds raised to

positively improve opportunities for the children

enriching visits or experiences.

NLAS School & PTFA Lottery Easy Funding

Help to raise extra funds for your school

When shopping for the essentials use the Easy Funding website. It lets you buy your essen-tials but gives school some extra pennies—that doesn't cost you anything else. Last year through people using this site we managed to raise £60 for school. You can save your de-tails on to the computer so it remembers to do it every time you order some goods.

Old Photographs

One of our Year 6 children, Adam Watson, is looking for old photos of the main building of the school. He is intrigued with an archway that has been bricked up and painted over and would like to see how it looked in its former glory on the original building before any alterations were made to the school. If you have any old photos or know any-one who has some please let the school office know. Thank you.
