You will spend your time at Savuti doing guided game drives in the area There are many tracks although some have been rendered impassible with WKHAacuteRRGLQJRIWKHPDUVK7KHUHDUHDOVRDQFLHQW6DQEXVKPDQSDLQWLQJVLQthe area which can be visited
Wildlife common in Savuti include elephant (as in the whole of Chobe) lion hyaena leopard zebra wildebeest blackbacked jackal impala steenbok klipspringer and smaller species such as banded mongoose

DAY 3 CAMP SAVUTI

The road south from Savuti to Mababe Gate is quite sandy in parts and will take you about 25 hours
After exiting the gate turn immediately right This road takes you to the gravel road between Mababe village and Khwai The road is corrugated in parts so please take care You will come to a turn off at S19 08350 E23 45954 you then need to take the track to the left which leads to a water crossing at S19 08509 E23 46032 - there is a track around the crossing to the left and this is unlikely to be more than tyre depth deep however if you are unsure walk the crossing AgraveUVW
After the crossing follow the gravel road towards Khwai village and after 2km you will see a turn to the left at S19 09617 E23 45499

You have two options of getting to Maun - the shortest is through Moremi Game Reserve (you will need to pay park fees of P120 per person and P50 for the vehicle) If you have time we recommend that you spend some time doing game drives in Moremi The alternative is to drive back towards Mababe on the gravel road and then south Recommended Accommodation in Maun Audi Camp

The road south from Savuti to Mababe Gate is quite sandy in parts and will take you about 25 hours
After exiting the gate turn immediately right This road takes you to the gravel road between Mababe village and Khwai The road is corrugated in parts so please take care You will come to a turn off at S19 08350 E23 45954 you then need to take the track to the left which leads to a water crossing at S19 08509 E23 46032 - there is a track around the crossing to the left and this is unlikely to be more than tyre depth deep however if you are unsure walk the crossing AgraveUVW
After the crossing follow the gravel road towards Khwai village and after 2km you will see a turn to the left at S19 09617 E23 45499

The road south from Savuti to Mababe Gate is quite sandy in parts and will take you about 25 hours
After exiting the gate turn immediately right This road takes you to the gravel road between Mababe village and Khwai The road is corrugated in parts so please take care You will come to a turn off at S19 08350 E23 45954 you then need to take the track to the left which leads to a water crossing at S19 08509 E23 46032 - there is a track around the crossing to the left and this is unlikely to be more than tyre depth deep however if you are unsure walk the crossing AgraveUVW
