Form: Wh- Word Aux. Subject Verb Complement What do you eat in the morning? What does he eat in the morning? Use Example 1. What: Asks about things and activities. What does she have in that bag? She has a pencil and 2 books. 2. Where: Asks about places, locations, cities. Where does Robbie live? He lives in London. 3. When: Asks about time, occasion, and moment. When do Ralph and Jason come? They come at 6pm. 4. How: Asks about manner, way, form. How do you prefer your coffee? I prefer black coffee. 5. Why: Asks about reasons. (Why is used for asking questions and Because is used for answering them) Why do you study English? Because it is important. 6. Which: Asks about choice, alternative or options. Which movies do you prefer, action or comedy movies? I prefer comedy movies. 7. Who: Asks about people. It can be used in two different forms. *FIRST CASE: when we know the person that performs the action, but we do not know the person that accompanies him or her. SECOND CASE: When we do not know the person that performs the action. In this case we use the following formula: Who + Verb -s + Complement + ? Who does Walter work with? He works with Jessie. Who do you live with? I live with my family. Who makes coffee here? My mother makes coffee./ My mother does. Who has our red eraser? .I have it./ I do.

Note: It usually works with verb to be.
