THE SHEPHERD’S VOICE

Dear Parishioners, As we watch Deacon Michael Falce go forth from us to be ordained to the priesthood by Bishop DiMarzio on June 1st, we have been blessed with the presence of another seminarian for this summer (May 13th—July 21st). Eusebius Eze has completed his first year of study in theology at St. Joseph’s Seminary in Yon-kers, NY and will spend ten weeks at Mary Queen of Heaven. The purpose of his assignment is for him to experience life in a rectory, to work along with the staff, interact with parishioners, and respond to their needs. It is a way for men who aspire to the priest-hood to put their classroom learning to the test and make use of their innate talents. I am sure you will make Eusebius feel wel-come and enfold him into the parish family.

In the Good Shepherd, Father Tom

All new and returning families are welcomed to Mary Queen of

Heaven Parish and are encouraged to become actively

involved in parish societies and activities.

Please register at the Rectory Office during office hours or via our website www.mqhchurch.net.

You may also submit any updates to your address and contact information to the Rectory Office. You are encouraged to use your tithing envelopes.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO TURN OFF ALL MOBILE DEVICES WHILE IN CHURCH.

PARISHIONER IN NEED—MARTHA TORRES Martha has been an active parishioner here at Mary Queen of Heaven and has also served as a minister of Ho-ly Communion for many years. Martha has been in kid-ney failure for the past three (3) years and is now in dire need of a kidney transplant. She is hopeful that a gener-ous parishioner will heed the call and be willing to donate a kidney for her transplant. If the Lord moves you to be a donor or you know someone who might be interested in giving the gift of life, please contact Lauren Syed, Trans-plant Coordinator at New York Presbyterian Hospital at 212-305-8597. If you need further information, feel free to email Martha at [email protected].
