Raising $ To Pound Out Cancer

The Keep Pounding Fund was created by the Carolina Panthers and Carolinas HealthCare Foundation in 2003, with the on-going mission of raising vital funds for important cancer research and patient support programs. Since its incepetion, the Keep Pouding Fund has raised more than $1.4 million and Panthers fans have supported the initiative in a variety of ways. Contributions are generated through team fundraisers, the assistance of team partners and valued donations from community organizations and individuals.

The Keep Pounding Stadium Run 5K draws hundreds of avid runners, passionate football fans, cancersurvivors and supporters of the fight against cancer to participate in the only charitable run that uses the homeof the Carolina Panthers as its course.This one-of-a-kind event draws crowds not only to run but friends and family of participants to come togetherto pound out cancer in our community.

Sponsors and supporters make a directimpact on the patients and familiesserved by Carolinas HealthCare System’s Levine Children’s Hospital and Levine Cancer Institute, as 100% of the funds raised benefit our pediatric and adultcancer programs. Offering access to the latest treatments and clinical trials,these world-class facilities bring our community compassionate cancer care where it matters most - close to home.

COURSERunners will be bussed from the NorthGate of Bank America Stadium to the starting line at Levine Cancer Institute. The course proceeds down MoreheadStreet and continues towards Bank ofAmerica Stadium. Upon entering the stadium, the course includes a challengingascent to the 500 Level and a thrilling finish through the players’ tunnel and onto the field.

REGISTRATION & FEESThe cost to register is $30. Visit KeepPounding5k.org to register onlineuntil Wednesday, May 12th. Offline registra-tion is available at Charlotte Running Co. (East Blvd.) until Friday, May 13th. Early registration is encouraged as the race is capped at 750 registrants. If space allows, race-day registration will be located at the North Gate of Bank of America Stadium.

FUNDRAISING REQUIREMENTAll runners are asked to raise a minimumof $51 commemorating Sam Mills (#51),who lost his battle with cancer. 100% of the money raised benefits cancer programs and initiatives at Levine Children's Hospital and Levine Cancer Institute.
