In the event of difference between codes and/or standards, the most stringent code or standard shall apply.Whenever reference is made in an Equipment Specification to a specificcodeorstandard,itshallbeunderstoodthatthelatesteditionofsuch reference, as of the date of proposal, shall govern. 4OPERATING AND DESIGN CONDITIONS Site data and general engineering requirements are specified in Appendix A, Standard Technical and Site Data 000-OT-M-001. Operating and design conditions and requirements are specified in the attachment titled Data Sheet A, Operating and Design Conditions. Thecrushersshallbedesignedforaminimum25yearslifeexpectancy,basedon continuous operation (24 hours per day, 7 days per week). ThecrusherswillbefedwithSAGMillScreensoversizeandwilldischargevia recirculating conveyor back to the SAG Mill. Thevendorisstronglyadvisedtopayspecialattentiontothesiteshigh altitude (5000m.a.s.l)effectonelectricalequipment.Thereducedcooling/dielectric capabilitiesoftheairatsitesaltitudeadverselyaffectoperatingtemperatures, insulation,continuouscurrent,operatingvoltage,spacingbetweencomponents and BIL. 5EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION 5.1GENERAL Theequipmentshallbemanufacturer'sstandardsizeandheavy-dutydesign suitablefortheconditionsspecified.Crusherrotationshallbemanufacturer's standard. CrushersshallbeequippedwithVendor'srecommendeddustsealsfor protection of moving parts against wear and abrasion. Theselectedequipmentsuppliersshallreporttothesinglemotor manufacturer,withtheequipmentrequiredbrakehorsepowerwithoutde-rated factors. 5.2MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION Crusher main frame and bowl shall be cast steel. The Vendor shall beresponsible for the abrasion resistance of the equipment and shall include abrasion resistant linings wherever necessary.Wear surfaces shallbeprotectedwithreplaceablewearplatesorcastingsofhighabrasion resistance alloy. The bevel gears and pinions shall be of cast or forged steel, with cut teeth. If crusher drive is direct, the countershaft shall be direct-coupled to the jackshaft bymeansofaflexiblecoupling,installedonthecountershaftandsuitably protectedtoavoiddamagetoexposedpartsduringtransit,storageandfield assembly. 5.4CRUSHER ADJUSTMENT AND RELEASE Crushers shall be furnished with hydraulic setting adjustment systems, complete with hydraulic power units, motors and hydraulic hoses. Crushers shall be equipped with hydraulic tramp release and clearing systems to allow clearing of a plugged crusher.The systems shall allow for relieving the crusherbowlassembliesfromtheirnormalcrushingpositionstopasstramp material, then returning crushers to their original setting. 5.5LUBRICATION Thecrushersshallbeprovidedwithindependent,automatic,packaged lubricationsystems,completewithreservoirs,heatingandairoilcooling systems, pump(s), pump motor(s), filters, valves, instrumentation, controls and all accessories required to insure adequate lubrication.Conduit and wiring shall bebroughttoterminal blocks in a junction box for external connections to be made by others.External piping terminals shall be mounted on a rigid frame. 5.6ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS AND MOTORS Electrical design, components and accessories shall be in compliance with the requirementsofAppendixAandAkerSolutionsspecification000-GD-E-010, Package Equipment Electrical Motors shall be in accordance with Aker Solutions Specifications 000-TS-E-014,LowVoltageMotorsor000-TS-E-013,MediumVoltageInduction Motors. AllmotorsfortheToromochoProj ectwillbeboughtfromasinglemotor manufacturer.Selectedequipmentsupplierswillbedirectedtopurchase theirmotorsfromthissinglemotormanufacturer.Allmotorsshallbe specifiedtodeveloptheirpowerrateat5,000m.a.s.l.andtheToromocho SingleMotorManufacturer(TSMM)willdesignthemotorsaccordinglyto work at the site conditions. Apricelist(Doc.No.000-EL-E-002)identifyingtheTSMMwillbeprovided by AkerSolutions toall selected equipment vendors and shall be used for establishing individual motor prices. MotorsshallbeinaccordancewiththeAkerSolutionsElectrical specifications000-TS-E-014;LowVoltageMotors,and000-TS-E-013; Medium Voltage Motors. Allequipmentshallbeshippedwiththedrive(s),includingmotor(s), properly installed and tested. 6INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROLS 6.1Crushersshallbefurnishedcompletewithallcontrolsandinstrumentation, including control panel(s), required to control and monitor the status or condition oftheequipment.Allsystemsrequiringprotectionshallbeprovidedwith sensorydevicestoinitiatealarmsand,whenrequired,provideautomatic shutdown of the system. Control system design, components and accessories shall be in compliance with the requirements of Appendix A and Aker Solutions General Specification 000-GD-I-011, Package Equipment Instrumentation. 6.2Instrumentationandcontrolsfurnishedshallinclude,butnotbelimitedtothe following: Lube oil supply line flow indication and low flow alarm switch Lube oil supply line pressure indicator and low pressure alarm switch. Automaticcrusherregulationcontrolsystemtooptimizepowerdraw, includingacontrol panelcomplete with feed rate controls, input power monitoringandcontrols,remote/localselectswitchandnecessary controls and/or monitoring for feed level, lube oil temperature, hydraulic pressure and closed side setting adjustment. 6.3All alarm sensors shall be fully adjustable over their full operating ranges. 6.4InadditiontotheaboveandotherVendorsstandardsystemcontrols,the equipment shall also be provided with the following items to allow remote control and/or monitoring by equipment provided by others. All controller input/output shall be isolated and shall be able to accept a remote setpoint signal of 4-20 mA dc. All measured variables shall be made available as isolated 4-20 mA dc signals. Allstatusandalarmsignalsshallbemadeavailableasisolateddry contact closures rated minimum 5 A @ 120 V ac. Allstart/stoporon/offpush-buttonsorswitchesshallbewiredina manner that will make incorporation of remote controls readily possible. AllsignalcircuitsshallbewiredtoVendorsuppliedterminalstripsto permit field wiring by others. 6.5Allinstrumentsandcontrolsshallbeweatherproofanddust-tightorshallbe mounted in a IP66 or NEMA Type 4X enclosure or equivalent. 7ASSEMBLY AND TESTING 7.1PAINTING All shop fabricated structural steel and miscellaneous iron, exposed surfaces of plateworkandshop-fabricatedmachineryguardsshallbeshop-paintedin accordance with Aker Solutions General Specification 000-GC-S-012, Painting Project C-560 Technical Specification 210-TS-M-051 Cone Crushers Rev.3 P:\SCL_05_Eng_Doc\05_Mec\03_Technical_Specifications\03_Issued\210-TS-M-051 Cone Crushers\Rev_3\560-210-TS-M-051_3.doc 10 of 20 andProtectiveCoatings.Howeveranythingrequiringsafetycolors(i.e. guards, handrails, kickplates, ladders, cages, etc.), shall be shop finish painted in the appropriate color in accordance with Aker Solutions General Specification 000-GC-S-012, Painting and Protective Coatings.Stainless steel surfaces shall not be painted. Standard manufactured equipment (i.e. motors, gear reducers, couplings, etc.) shallbecleaned,prepared,primedandfinishpaintedinaccordancewith SystemP1orManufacturersstandardchemicalresistantsystem,unless otherwise specified. Vendor shall provide sufficient finish coat paint for field touch-up. All air cooled heat exchanger coils (i.e. oil coolers, radiators, etc.) shall have a factoryappliedcorrosionresistant,dippedandbakedphenoliccoatingon copper and aluminum surfaces.Equipment ratings shall take into account any reductioninheattransfercapacityduetothecoating.Anyotherexposed copper and aluminum surfaces shall have a suitable corrosion resistant coating. 7.2TESTING AND INSPECTION InspectionduringfabricationwillbetheresponsibilityoftheVendor.Owner and/orAkerSolutionsreservetherighttoentertheVendorsfacilityorany subcontractors facility, at any time, assuming reasonable notice, for verification ofwork.Aker Solutions shall have the right to reject any and all materials or order the rework of any and all parts and components not meeting specification requirements, at no cost to Aker Solutions or the Owner. The Vendor shall provide Aker Solutions with all inspection records, laboratory certificatesandanyotherdocumentationdeemedbyAkerSolutionstobe requiredforverificationofmaterialsusedorworkdone.Suchdatashallbe deliveredfromtimetotimeasrequestedbyAkerSolutionsandshall,in addition, be delivered to Aker Solutions as part of a bound inspection record at the time each completed piece of equipment is delivered ex-works. Thefailureofmaterialsorworkmanshiptomeettherequirementsofthe specificationshallbecauseforrejection.Suchmaterialorworksorejected shall not result in any additional cost to Aker Solutions or the Owner. TheVendorshallproduceascheduleshowingthecompleteplanfor manufacturing and testing.In addition, the Vendor shall give Aker Solutions two weeksnoticeofthefollowingeventssothatAkerSolutionsmaydispatchits inspector: 1)Ultrasonic testing of castings. Prior to disassembly and shipping, all components that must be disassembled for shipment shall be permanently match marked.Vendor shall submit a record sketch or drawing showing all match marking to Aker Solutions.Items requiring precisionalignmentandlocationshallbeprovidedwithaminimumoftwo(2) dowel pins or fitted bolts to ensure proper alignment in the field. Sub-assemblies, preferably, shall be as large as transportation and/or erection facilitieswillpermit.VendorshallreviewtherequirementsofAppendixT, Transport Constraints to ensure compliance. 7.4PREPARATION FOR SHIPMENT TheVendorshalladequatelyprepareallcomponentsforexportshipment, recognizingtherequirementsforinlandtransport,stevedorehandling,and marine transport. The Vendor shall take into consideration the requirements of Appendix T, Transport Constraints. All openings in the equipment shall be sealed to exclude foreign matter during shipment.Flangesshallbeprovidedwithwoodencoversboltedinplacein order to protect the flange face. Allmachinedsurfacesshallbecoatedtoprotectagainstcorrosionduring shipment or outside storage at the jobsite.Exposed machined surfaces shall, in addition,becoveredwithaprotectivewoodorcompositecovertoprotect againstphysicaldamage.Plasticsheetsorothersimilar materialsshall keep the cover from contacting the coated surface. The shipment of loose, individual components shall be avoided. Componentsshallbeboxedtothegreatestextentpossible.Materialsinside boxes shall be securely braced to prevent movement.Large components shall be individually secured to the sleepers under the box. Project C-560 Technical Specification 210-TS-M-051 Cone Crushers Rev.3 P:\SCL_05_Eng_Doc\05_Mec\03_Technical_Specifications\03_Issued\210-TS-M-051 Cone Crushers\Rev_3\560-210-TS-M-051_3.doc 12 of 20 Items shall be furnished with lifting lugs, if necessary, for crane handling.Lifting lugsshallbepositionedtogivemaximumbalancewithanevenweight distribution and minimize handling hazards.Each lug shall be designed to carry a minimum of twice the lifting load.The gross weight of the lift shall be stenciled or painted in aconspicuous location andidentified as the gross lifting weight.Lugs shall be painted yellow. All appropriate lifting lugs shall be fitted by the Vendor. All components shall bemarked with destination, weights, etc. as well as with special handling instructions.Each box shall be clearly marked as to contents and numbered asto assembly sequence.All boxes must show the purchase ordernumber,itemnumbersandequipmentnumber(s).TheVendorshall providepackinglistsforallboxes,enclosingonelistinsideeachboxand securelyfasteningonelisttotheoutsideofeachbox.Onecopyofthe Installation Manual shall be included in the box with the equipment at the time of shipment. 7.5TAGGING REQUIREMENTS All instruments, whether mounted on the equipment or shipped loose, shall have a stamped 316 stainless steel tag firmly attached by stainless steel wire.Refer to General Specification 000-GD-I-011 for tag details. All equipment shall have apermanent stamped 316 stainless steel nameplate attachedthatcontainsallpertinentidentificationandsizeinformation. IdentificationshownshallincludeAkerSolutions/OwnerPurchaseOrder Number and Equipment Number (Tag No.). 7.6FIELD ASSEMBLY AND TESTING The Vendor shall provide a detailed erection specification manual including all drawings and other documents needed for erection.The Bidder shall specify as partoftheproposalthesupervisorypersonnelproposedforsupervisionof equipment erection and all costs associated with such personnel.The Bidder shall also include an estimate of other skilled and unskilled manhours required for erection. Aftercompletionoferectionoftheequipment,butbeforecommissioningand testing, the Vendor shall provide a certificate of Field Assembly Inspection to the Owner. Minimum 4 Hours ofclassroom operator training prior to field training shall be provided. FollowingissuanceofthecertificateofFieldAssemblyInspection,andata timingagreeabletobothOwnerandVendor,a2weektrialrunshallbe Project C-560 Technical Specification 210-TS-M-051 Cone Crushers Rev.3 P:\SCL_05_Eng_Doc\05_Mec\03_Technical_Specifications\03_Issued\210-TS-M-051 Cone Crushers\Rev_3\560-210-TS-M-051_3.doc 13 of 20 performedunderthesupervisionoftheVendor.Duringthetrialrun,the Vendors representative shall train the operating personnel of the Owner. Whentheplantisinnormaloperatingcondition,andthetimingisagain agreeable to both Owner and Vendor, an operating test-run shall be performed.Thelengthofthistestrunshallbe2weeksrunning24hoursperdayin production use.The performance guarantee test run will be carried out after the operating test-run (see Section 8). 8TECHNICAL PERFORMANCE GUARANTEE REQUIREMENTS 8.1PERFORMANCE GUARANTEES A performance guarantee test run shall be carried out under the supervision of theVendorspersonnel.Thelengthofthetestrunwillbe24hoursandthe Vendor shall guarantee that the equipment is capable of continuous operation in accordancewiththedesignvaluesgiveninSection4,andDataSheetA, Operating and Design Conditions. Bidder shall specify performance guarantees when operating under the design casedetailedinSection4,andDataSheetA,OperatingandDesign Conditions. Thedescriptionandproceduredetailsoftheperformanceguaranteetest-run shall be provided bythe Vendor andapproved by theOwner prior to carrying out the test-run.
