VALIDATION CERTIFICATE FOR PLOTS 72 & 73
Remediation Requirements:
Gardens: 600mm of inert cover (inclusive of topsoil) within landscaped and garden areas to be placed above a geotextile. The front of Plot 73 does not comprise any soft landscaping.
Validation Strategy:
Soils Testing: Greenfield/quarried source – 1: 200m3. Suites to include metals and PAH suites.
Garden Cover Validation: Inspected in one location per 3 No. plots (front and rear) through validation holes or open excavation prior to placement.
Garden Validation: Coopers are satisfied that the inert cover has been successfully complete (details provided below). The material types are within the textural parameters expected for gardens and are fit for purpose.

Notes
* Lead thresholds will be modified to follow the CLEA 1.06 system rather than the blood lead methodology, however until baseline data has been published, the blood lead threshold of 450mg/kg applicable to CLR will be adopted.
Thresholds derived within CLEA 1.06 utilising the most conservative parameters for unknown nature of imported materials. This includes 1% Soil Organic Matter for organic compounds (inorganics unaffected), silty clay strata for metals, semi-metals and several PAH compounds and sandy loam for phenol and naphthalene.
Cyanide should not be present within significant quantities, and where encountered should be speciated to determine what form the cyanide is present in.
All imported material must be free of deleterious odour and should not include demolition/construction wastes within garden areas.

Soil Analysis NotesInorganic soil analysis was carried out on a dried sample, crushed to pass a 425µm sieve, in accordance with BS1377.
Organic soil analysis was carried out on an 'as received' sample. Organics results are corrected for moisture and expressed on a dry weight basis.
The Loss on Drying, used to express organics analysis on an air dried basis, is carried out at a temperature of 28°C +/-2°C.
DisposalFrom the issue date of this test certificate, samples will be held for the following times prior to disposal :-
Soils - 1 month, Liquids - 2 weeks, Asbestos (test portion) - 6 months
Key: P-Plastic G-Bag
DETS cannot be held responsible for the integrity of samples received whereby the laboratory did not undertake the sampling. In this instance samples received may
be deviating. Deviating Sample criteria are based on British and International standards and laboratory trials in conjunction with the UKAS note 'Guidance on
Deviating Samples'. All samples received are listed above. However, those samples that have additional comments in relation to hold time, inappropriate containers
etc are deviating due to the reasons stated. This means that the analysis is accredited where applicable, but results may be compromised due to sample deviations. If
no sampled date (soils) or date+time (waters) has been supplied then samples are deviating. However, if you are able to supply a sampled date (and time for waters)
this will prevent samples being reported as deviating where specific hold times are not exceeded and where the container supplied is suitable.
