I am a Jamaican teacher currently residing in South Carolina. I have sixteen years teaching experience and am presently pursuing my Masters in Educational Administration and Leadership at the Virginia Commonwealth University. The Vision of the ECC promises access to high quality early childhood development services, enabling the realization of the full potential of the children. My experiences have prepared me to be an asset to the organization. Although my background has been in Primary education, I have spent years working in different institutions to develop the skills necessary for a visionary leader who has the best interest of the children at heart. I spent eleven years in a preparatory school, three years in a public school and the last three years in a US public school. During my years of service in Jamaica I have held such offices as Senior Teacher, Public Relations Officer, Dean of Discipline, Coordinator of Quiz/Debate and Literary competitions. In my years of service in the US I’ve served as PTA Liaison Officer, Vice President now Secretary of the school’s Improvement Council, Teachers’ Advisory Council Representative, Grade Level Chairperson, Outstanding Teacher of the Year and Teacher of the Year 2010/2011. More details of my education and experience can be found in my attached Curriculum Vitae. Data has now become one of the biggest benchmarks on which an organization relies to improve itself. I am a member of my school’s Data Analysis Team and currently use data to fuel instruction. I also have

I am hereby applying for the position of Development Officer in the Early Childhood Commission as
