Concluding Remarks

‣ Monetary poverty is relevant

‣ Non-monetary poverty is devastating

‣ 32 percent of the COMCEC population live under

multidimensional poverty

‣ Highest deprivations are in cooking fuel, electricity and

improved sanitation

‣ Deprivations in school attendance and child mortality are

more than 20 percent for the one-third of the member

countries
