The challenge to drastically reduce worldwide greenhousegas emissions despite growing energy demand requiresdecisive changes in energy supply, conversion and storagetechnologies. For the transport sector the electrification ofthe drivetrain combined with increasing electrical powergeneration from renewable sources is a promising approachto decrease the dependency on shortening crude oil and gasresources.

The 4th mobilEM Colloquium is a discussion panel foryoung researchers and professionals. Presentations will begiven by the professors, who are in charge of the particularproject research fields, project participants, and externalspeakers. Additionally, there will be poster presentations ofproject participants. The colloquium shall provide an excitingforum to discuss recent progress in the project researchwork.

The presentations and posters are covering the followingproject-related areas :

• electrical energy storage (module integration;electrochemical cells)

• power electronics (active and passive components)• range extender module (combustion engines; electric

motors)• thermal management (cooling and heat transfer systems;
