What patterns can you see in the sky?
Moon
• orbit around Earth= ellipse

• Materials: four Oreo cookies, plastic knife, long blue construction paper
1.On a paper plate, make a chart showing New Moon, Waxing Crescent, First Quarter, Waxing Gibbous, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous, Third Quarter, and Waning Crescent, using Oreos.
2.With your knives, scrap away the frosting to represent each phase.
3.Draw the phases in your notebook.
