Sarah Hempstead, CEO, Schmidt Associates, Inc. Sarah Hempstead is the CEO of Schmidt Associates, a 110-person architectural and engineering firm with offices in

Indianapolis and Louisville. She built her career based on the belief that combining inspiration and perspiration along-side building owners will help deliver signature solutions with a purpose. Sarah was in the ENR Midwest magazine top 20 professionals under 40 working in the construction industry, and was Indy’s Best and Brightest person in the real estate development and construction category in 2011. She serves as the president of the Junior Achievement board, and is on the boards of the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, Visit Indy, and Arts Council of Indianapolis.

RJ Pasquesi, Founder and President, KCG Companies R.J. Pasquesi is the Founder and President of KCG Companies, LLC. He is responsible for providing both the stra-

tegic direction and for leading the day-to-day operational activities of the firm. R.J.’s work at KCG also encompasses taking the lead on equity and lender relationships, project specific financing issues, and growing the portfolio through the acquisition and development of apartment communities. During his career, R.J. has been involved in the develop-ment, acquisition and / or financing of over 9,000 apartment homes totaling more than $1.1 billion in investments and over 630,000 square feet of self-storage totaling more than $45 million in investments. R.J. earned his Bachelor of Science from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University. He has also obtained his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Indianapolis. R.J. currently lives in the Indianapolis area with his wife and three daughters.

Angela Smith Jones, Deputy Mayor, Economic Development at City of Indianapolis In January 2016, Angela Smith Jones was sworn in as Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett’s first Deputy Mayor for Eco-

nomic Development. Under her purview, Smith Jones oversees Develop Indy, the city’s economic development orga-nization; Employ Indy, the city’s workforce improvement board; Office of Minority and Women Business Development; and works closely with the Office of International and Latino Affairs. Leading these organizations, Smith Jones directs the strategies of business retention and expansion, attraction of new companies, job growth, and the development of a strong workforce pipeline for the city of Indianapolis. She also ensures that entrepreneurs of diverse backgrounds are supported and given opportunity. Angela Smith Jones, a native of Indianapolis, is a graduate of DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois where she earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence. Prior to law school, Smith Jones completed her undergraduate studies.

He started his career as an electrical design engineer and has successfully migrated through the corporate ranks of companies like AT&T, Eli Lilly, and Roche Diagnostics. As an engineer, project manager, business executive, developer, and entrepreneur he has led organizations of up to four hundred people and budget responsibilities spanning well over $100M. Currently, he is CEO for Black and White Investments, LLC. Gary founded BWI in 2005 as a development and construction management company. BWI’s target market is urban development within Indiana and their primary focus is multi-family and mix-use tax credit developments.

Sam Smith, Principal & Chairman, RESOURCE, President, CCIM Indiana Chapter Sam is Chairman and a Co-founder of RESOURCE Commercial Real Estate and leads the Company Training and
