Today we are going to focus on listening to a great example of fluency and expression.Please play the link above. Read one of your Independent Reading Books from the baggie that was sent home for you. You could also choose to read a book from the RAZ kids site (log in information is available on our website) or a book that you have from your home library if you would prefer. Your choice 2. Retell one of your stories but create props to do so. No supplies? No problem! Use empty toilet tissue rolls like Mrs.Lowman. Use the back of a cereal box,construction paper,computer paper, or any art supplies you might have. Decorate a plastic spoon for a character! Send a video if you know how to on SEESAW to your teacher! Hit the green + then you can select photo or video! Marking Reminders:Remember to “scoop” your sentences after you write them. How would you read the sentence?

Writing: 1. Today we are going to add a closing and restate your opinion. 2. Revise/Edit entire writing piece. Check to see if you can add details or labels

to any illustrations.

For example: Closing/Restating Opinion I’ve heard my mom say, “Dogs are a man’s best friend!” I guess you can say my mom is right! In my opinion, dogs truly are the best pet anyone could ever ask for. Beg your Mom for a dog! You won’t be disappointed.

Please use this as a guide to help your child with his/her opinion piece.Write an opening.

row. 6. Log which activity you chose to complete and how long you worked on it in your

learning journal. (ie: “That’s a Fact” for 10 Minutes)

7. Parents choose any # from 20-40. Ask your child to skip count from that number.Have them count by 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s to 120.
