After over 20 years of development, L’Oréal launched a new brand called Serioxyl targeted for clients with thinning hair, hair loss, or clients who want a thicker feel and look to their hair.

Serioxyl Thickening Programme

The Serioxyl thickening treatment has been a huge hit with our clients. Instant results are visible and new hair growth is amazing!

We start the service with a deep cleansing scalp exfoliation to prepare your hair follicles for the treatment. We then shampoo & condition the hair and once towel dried apply the aqua mousse which aids in creating volume and lift at the roots. The other two products which complete the range are :

Margaret was amongst the North East’s most successful, pioneering and inspirational women shortlisted for this year’s Glass Slipper Awards. Margaret was nominated and shortlisted for the lifetime achievement award, alongside Pam Royle.

She was nominated for leading the way in hairdressing excellence since she was 15 years old! She started as a Saturday girl and has been a salon owner for over 40 years.

Inspiring everyone she meets with her warm personality and head for business, Margaret has passed down her creativity to two of her daughters who now work in the salon.

Her nominator wrote: “She has put her passion for people, creativity and team work before profit and her personal needs.”

This year the L’Oréal Colour Trophy celebrated its 60th anniversary of recognising and rewarding the best hairdressers in the UK. We were through to the semi finals, flying the flag for the North East in both ladies and gents categories for the 4th year in a row! To celebrate the competition Heart Radio gave the nominated salons the chance to win £1,000 towards a team night out. This was a national competition and At Sisters have won it for the 2nd year in a row! Clients are asked to vote for their favourite salon and out of all of the big chains out there our family-run salon has nailed it again, this shows the dedication and loyalty of our client base!! #proud

As professional makeup artists Jo and Jade were super excited about the launch of Make Up by HD Brows - Professional Artistry Course, and couldn’t wait to attend the four days intensive training in London. The course is being exclusively taught by the

industry’s leading makeup artists to sit alongside the HD Brows makeup range.

During the four days Jo and Jade produced iconic makeup trends such as contouring, the glow, no makeup – makeup and a statement red lip.

JOFrom 15 years of experience, I’ve become known as Jo the waxer, so I suppose that is where I should start. I didn’t intentionally go into specialised waxing because I loved it, I suppose it just comes naturally to me and I’m really quick and extra thorough.

My real passion however is skin. CACI non-surgical face lifts are my favourite treatments to give and receive, the results are amazing, I personally just couldn’t live without them.

I say to all my clients home care is key... You can come for fantastic in-salon treatments as often as you like, but if you’re not using active ingredients on a daily basis at home you can’t maintain salon results. The last two years as an ID Artist has to be the most rewarding inspirational journey I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of. It wasn’t an easy start though! It took me a few attempts at the audition process before I was able to get past the shortlist stage and make it onto the team. It was literally like an X Factor audition. Three yes’s and you’re through. The salon was buzzing when I finally received the call I’d been waiting for. YES I had made it!

The national audition tour is tough! They are looking for raw talented passionate people that they can further develop through world-class education by some of the leading names in the hairdressing industry. I was finally on the team & I was off to the L’Oreal headquarters in London to meet my fellow team members. This was just the beginning of an amazing journey. The following two years I had the opportunity to work with and be mentored by some of the best in the business; Simon Shaw, Richard Ward, Carolyn Newman, Nathan Walker, Sally & Jamie Brooks, Sophia Hilton,Tim Hartley & Trevor Sorbie. It literally was training and development money could not buy.

This opportunity has seen me travel to many different places. I’ve presented seasonal trends at catwalk showcase, taught a colour inspiration course, traveled and went on tour with the colour trophy 2 years running, and had a million laughs along the way with fond memories and amazing friends.

Earlier this year I visited Barcelona for the second time with the team. While we were in Barcelona we were coached through and were able to further develop the ideas behind the world famous Colour Trophy Tour as it celebrated its 60th year! Working with Brooks & Brooks and their team, we were coached through their concepts and ideas for the show which I have to say was amazing!

The ID Artist programme is definitely a platform and this isn’t the end of the journey for me!... #watchthisspace
