What is Volunteer 4

Democracy (V4D)?

The core of the programme is to create a group of

motivated people involved in citizens participation and

human rights issues dissemination;

ALDA and the LDAs are interested in involving potential

volunteers that want to be engaged in these activities on

the field

ALDA members will spread the info about theProgramme among their members and it will beavailable to collect CVs and motivational letter fromprovisional volunteers.

Volunteers can ask directly to ALDA members to beincluded in the database and be informed aboutVFD opportunities.

ALDA will constantly update the database andinform directly volunteers once opportunities forVOLUNTEERS 4 DEMOCRACY will be available

Democracy?

Which is the Volunteers

for Democracy profile?

Volunteer should be people motivated on human rights, citizens participation and local democracy;

Since ALDA and LDAs promotes a lot of international activities its important volunteers has a good knowledge of English (at least!);

How can volunteers participate in

the Programme? Volunteers should :

send their CV and motivational letter to the ALDAmember, which will forward it to ALDA staff ;

Monitor the call for Volunteers 4 Democracy theywill receive once registered : in the call they willfind all the details about proposed activities (conferences, training, study tour, fairs,workshops etc.)

Submit their expression of interest and wait forselection;

Selected volunteers will be required to present areport for ALDA and members on theirexperience.

What is covered by Volunteers for

Democracy ?

Travel, board and

accomodation expenses will be covered for

selected volunteers participating to the

activities
