Fusion splice holder for two optional fusion protection sleeves

Mounting hole locations Aerial Drop Cable Application1. Strip network drop cable down to buffer tube,

63 inches.

2. Poke a hole through the grommet.

3. Secure the drop cable to the box.

Buried Drop Cable Application with 0.5-inch Conduit1. Strip network drop cable down to buffer tube,

63 inches.

2. Cut hole in rubber grommet for 0.5-inch conduit, and secure conduit to box.

3. Secure the drop cable with cable clamp (Cable clamp not supplied with box).

Note: The remaining steps are the same for both aerial and buried applications.

4. Loop the white buffer tube two times.

5. Strip the buffer tube off to expose 250 μm fiber, 21.0 inches.

6. Secure the buffer tube.

7. Loop 250 µm fiber into the slack storage area of the splice tray.

8. Strip and cleave 250 µm fiber. Cleave length is 12.5 (0.5 in).

3M™ Fibrlok™ Splice Holder

9. Insert 250 µm fiber into the 3M™ Fibrlok™ Splice.

10. Make sure both fiber ends are in contact inside the 3M Fibrlok Splice.

11. Push activator bar to activate the 3M Fibrlok Splice.

12. Place cover onto the splice tray by snapping the tabs into place.

13. Poke a hole through the grommet and secure the premises drop cable.

14. Plug cable into the adapter. Coil excess premises cable and secure to inside of box.

Note: This product is not intended to be used with pre-terminated outside drop cable.
