The basic equipment of the laboratory includes:

- scanning system Leica ScanStation2 to work both from board of the minibus and outside of it (from a tripod),- the system of automatic leveling of the minibus,- pneumatic telescopic mast with the lift height up to 6 m,- motorized hatch with vertical 90 degree opening,- independent electric main 12V and 220V, 2.5 kW wired to 8 sockets,- onboard computer network,- additional monitor for displaying images from any of the computer,- load platform on the top of the minibus with maximum load up to 300 kg,- 8 square meter external awning for working out of the minibus in severe weather conditions,- saloon with 6 passenger seats,- built-in furniture that can be transformed according to various purposes (laboratory, field office, sleeping saloon),- minikitchen with clean water supply and waste water export facilities, gas stove, refrigerator, TV-set,- air-conditioning system.

MobiScan is a multifunctional hardware-software complex based on a minibus designed for self-autonomous work related to measuring and fixation of linear and areal subjects of different assignment.

Advantages of MobiScan laboratory:

- cuts time for delivering scanning systemfrom station to station, for deployment and dismantling of the scanning system,

- improves safety of the staff in the course of scanning of city and highway objects,

- preserves equipment during work and transportation,

- extends cover area while scanning from the mast, reduces negative influence of shades,

- allows comfortable multi-day stay at remote objects, minimizes influence of negative external factors on working process.

Trimetari Consulting is a community of experts in the area of terrestrial LiDAR (3D laser scanning). Our

mission is to help specialists from different industries to solve their tasks relating to measurements in

three-dimensional space.

Our community consists of professional land surveyors and computer science engineers, experienced in

conventional surveying and laser scanning. Our certified experts passed training in European training

centers of leading manufacturers of laser scanning hardware and software.

To fulfill this project we chose method, possible only with the use of the mobile laboratory. The scanner was mounted on the mast, most of the surfaces were scanned from the board of the minibus, others from a tripod. For example, the light yard was scanned from the tripod, because the sizes of the minibus did not allow it to get inside the yard. 19 stations took two days of field work. While scanning from the mast we chose the most convenient

Working results:

- 3D-model of the object presented as a point cloud,

- Drawings of the fronts, drawings of the buildings fragments and separate elements on a large scale,

- Photorealistic solid model of the complex with texturizing on the basis of the photos.

If necessary, the received data allow to draw a roof

plan, any sectional views bound to the surface relief

and fitted to the topographic base.

Practice of using method with MobiScan

laboratory showed a considerable cutting of field

work time due to quick transportation, independence

from external power supplies, possibility to check the

results of scanning right at the object, comfortable

work conditions.

height of the scanner mounting. We used maximum height for the roofs with complex configuration that helped to avoid shades. The mast also allowed us to 'look over the fence', that is to scan those parts of the fronts behind the fence that were inapproachable.
