OUTER SHELL FABRICSlAmInAtIon oR CoAteD? 3CS uses a combination of laminated and coated products for a number

of reasons; Coated fabrics provide a flexible cost effective alternative to

lamination.

Laminated fabrics provide a very durable highly resilient waterproofing

option. Laminated fabrics maintain a higher waterproofness for a much

longer period of time

2 lAyeR 10/10 PolyesteR BRoken twIll (bt)this durable stylish weave has a great look with its slub weave to add an

extra dimension to the garments. this combined with a dWr coating to

provide a high performance shield against bad weather.

2 lAyeR 15/10 lAmInAteD nylon BRusHeD twIll (tw15)this twill weave is the reliable workhorse of the 3CS fabric line.

Structurally it’s a very strong and extremely durable weave. Added to

the exterior of the fabric is a dWr coating.

2 lAyeR 15/10 lAmInAteD PolyesteR DoBBy woVen PlAID (pld)this dobby weave is a structurally very strong and durable. this fabric

provides a stylish highly textured woven finish to the garment as

opposed to the cheaper print options. Added to the exterior of the

fabric is a dWr coating.

2 lAyeR 15/10 lAmInAteD PolyesteR DoBBy ACID wAsH (aw)this acid wash look fabric has great hand feel and being a dobby

weave is very durable. It was brought into the line to enhance the street

wear vibe coming through in garments within the range. Added to the

exterior of the fabric is a dWr coating.

2 lAyeR 15/10 lAmInAteD nylon PIn-stRIPe (pin)A very smooth textured fabric with a subtle pinstripe weave, offering a

more sophisticated finish. this is the lightest weight fabric in the line.

Added to the exterior is a nAno dWr coating

2 lAyeR 20/15 lAmInAteD nylon BRusHeD twIll (tw20)With all the strength and durability properties of the “tw15” but with

increased waterproof /breathability ratings. Also added is the superior

nAno dWr coating.

2 lAyeR 20/15 lAmInAteD mICRo HeRRInGBone (mhb)this fine herringbone weave provides a supple soft hand feel while still

providing superior strength and durability. Added to the exterior of the

fabric is a nAno dWr coating.

FABRIC TECHEvery garment in the 3CS line is constructed using the finest most

fashionable, technically advanced fabrics available today. From outer

shell fabrics, zippers, press studs right down to the softest tricot

available.

our main goal is to ensure your comfort from first lifts to the last run

of the day. We do this by offering specialised fabrics with specific

waterproofing breathability combinations; this enables you to customise

your outerwear to your riding environment.

CoatingsDwR CoAtInGdurable water repellency coating, this teflon based coating is added to

the outer shell of the fabric to provide a strong barrier against water and

also great stain resistance properties

nAno DwR CoAtInGthis is the best water repelency available period. this water repelency

system provides a superior protection against snow and water. It also

has a great resistance to oils dust and grease. By using nAno dWr your

garment stays water resistant for a much longer period, even after 15

wash cycles the nAno dWr function maintains over 90% of it’s capacity.

Lining FabricssoFt tRICot mICRoFIBReA soft-brushed polyester that adds comfort and warmth by using

water resistant fibres to quickly and effectively wick moisture away

from the body.

Poly mesHA soft-netted fabric with 1/16” channels is incorporated into the

garment into areas that are more prone to possible overheating. Its

fundamental assembly efficiently moves unwanted heat and moisture

away from the body.

nylon tAFFetA70-denier grade nylon is featured in both a coated and uncoated

form. the coated form has a polyurethane coating to resist any water

penetration in the waist and leg gaiter areas. the uncoated form is used

in arms and leg linings.

Heikki is all about style, going big and getting creative, which can be best seen through his many film parts. Heikki has also posted some epic moments in contests. Remember when he boosted the worlds highest air at Arctic Challenge in 2001? Or when he unstrapped his back foot to finish off his X-games Slope Style run with a One footed fs 360? Heikki’s riding is something special. Silky smooth with balls of an elephant. He’s always finding new ways of expressing himself.

Most recently he’s been focusing on getting in front of the camera. Last season was all about filming with best friend Eero Ettala for the Cooking with Gas webisodes. With a massive following right from the start, the boys pulled of an epic season with some of the sickest urban riding in Finland to pow slaying in Japan. Another season of this craziness is about to go down with good friend Lauri Heiskari joining the adventures. Heikki, as always, will be pushing hard to get the shots that blow our minds. Be it urban rails or backcountry booters, he’ll be doing it in comfort and style with his new signature series.

Nick’s creativity and passion for the industry translates into every one of his projects. Including two of his seasonal projects and very successful video series “diaries down under” and “japan journals”.

Nick has his fingers in many pies and basically never sits still. He even has his own column in nZ snowboarder titled “hynesight”. If you can think of a concept that is super fun and will better the snowboard industry then Nick’s the guy to make it happen!

“I am super excited about this new 511 series. 511 signifies the peak of 3CS technology and styling. The fabrics are always the best textures and the designs are always a standout.

This year it all stems from some ideas that we had about making a really good quality jacket that incorporates more of a street ‘coat’ styling. I wanted something that I could wear through a big city comfortably but still keep the function of an amazing riding jacket.

No details are ever spared on the 511 series and this is obvious once you try the jacket on – it feels like quality.

Whilst being battered by the wind and freezing temperatures, the 511 Series keeps me warm, dry and most importantly stoked to keep shredding!”

Colin Bartlett is as expressive with his board sports as he is with his illustrations and combining the two allows his creativity to ignite.

“Since I was a grommet I knew I would always have a pencil and board nearby. Skateboarding and art were my main priorities; nothing has changed much I guess... except discovering snowboarding.”

In 2011 Colin launched Got-Pop with the focus to bring a quirky artistic element into the fashion of the ‘boarding’ industry. The sketches are characterised objects inspired by the culture and lifestyle of board sports.

“I had been thinking of a way to connect my art with my career without having to sacrifice snowboarding. I started to sketch some characters during my down time in Tahoe. From there we brainstormed some new and interesting ways to use them. I wanted to launch the artwork in an affordable quirky way and

since not much had been done in the world of quirky briefs we gave it a nudge! “

In December 2011 Colin entered the AS Colour Little Help Project under the artist name “Short Sleeve” and 8 months later came out with the win! Short Sleeve is a Streetwear brand, which explores elements of urban culture through art.

“Humbled by the public enthusiasm and support and overwhelmed with the win, I gained the confidence needed to create Short Sleeve. It was another perfect outlet that allowed me to explore lifestyles that I am exposed to whilst traveling. A recent trip to NYC inspired the first range. I explored the music, street and basketball culture of the city with a hint of skateboarding to reflect my roots.”

Colin is a part of the 3CS Comrade family and also coaches and mentors young snowboarders on the Simple Snowboarding NZ program which he launched last year with Sam Marcotte.

“I’m enthusiastic about the direction I’m heading as I etch out ways to express my art and establish foundations to develop the youth of snowboarding. My two passions in life that happen to coincide.”
