    artwork created by shaping orcombining hard materials, typically

    stone such as marble, metal, glass,

    or wood, or plastic materials suchas clay, textiles, polymers and softer

    metals. The term has been

    extended to works including sound,

    text and light.

    Types of sculpture

    1. Free-standing sculpture is surrounded on all

    sides, except the base, by space. It is also known

    as sculpture "in the round", and is meant to be

    viewed from any angle. One that is clear ofbuildings or structures.

    6. Kinetic sculpture - involves aspects of physicalmotion.

    a. fountain- the sculpture is designed with

    moving waterb. mobile- constructed to take advantage of the

    principle of equilibrium. It consists of a number

    of rods, from which weighted objects or

    FEATURE OF A SCULPTURE

    1. LINE features are the shape of piece of arts.

    Lines could be horizontal, vertical and diagonal.

    This lines leads the viewer eyes full perspective of

    the subject of the sculpture

    2. COLOR is generally referred to as its property

    hueand value.

    3. TEXTURE refers to the way the objects feel tothe touch.

    4. VOLUME means solidity or thickness. Asculpture is concerned with volume because it

    occupies space.

    5. PERSPECTIVE refers to depth or distance. Thetwo features of perspective are linear and aerial.

    Linear perspective means that the figures become

    smaller as they recede into the distance. Aerialperspective means that a figure becomes fainter

    or less visible in the distance.
