is for You
We, the unified faith community of OUR LADY OF FATIMA PARISH, include the churches of Saint Peter, Our Lady of Hope, Saint Michael, Holy Rosary and Immaculate Conception. We are a diverse, merged community with a long history of faith. As a community of faith, we seek to worship together and grow with the sacraments as we nurture a love of Christ and one another. As disciples of Christ through Catholic education we strive to help the youth and children explore, understand and practice their faith. As a body of Christ, we are committed to evangelization through Catholic education and fellowship. We seek to become a strong, active community rooted in charity.

From the Desk of Father Bosco Dear Friends, As you all know, Australia is an island nation surrounded on all sides with water from the Indian and South Pacific Oceans. You go to any tourist place or any restaurant by the beach, sea gulls are a common sight. You might feel windy, cold and some discomfort but the gulls don’t seem to mind the wind. In fact, they seem to enjoy it. You may watch them flying about: they go with it, they go
against it, they soar into the sky, they plunge back to earth. All the time they are using the wind, they are availing of its power. There is a lesson here for us. We, the disciples of Jesus, are so easily blown off course by the winds of adversity. But we have a power with us who is symbolized not by a gull but by a dove. We too need to avail of his power so that we would be able to turn the hard and easy to our advantage, so that everything that happens to us may bear us along the road to God’s kingdom. Come Holy Spirit and renew the face of the earth. May the Risen Lord continue to shower His Easter Blessings on you and your loved ones.

OUR CALL TO STEWARDSHIP “For it is better to suffer for doing good, if that be God’s will, than for doing evil.” 1 PETER 3:17 The old line says “if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.” Many of us are diligent in our planning, making sure things are progressing smoothly, then disaster strikes, we don’t get the result that was intended. An unforeseen problem arises. Many times we may respond negatively. Why me? I did everything right! Here’s the thing—God has a different and better plan in store for you.
