THE JURYThis year the jury viewed 372 collages and assemblages, entered from four different countries including the United States, Croatia, Hungary and Canada. 92 pieces were selected for this exhibit.
The jury consisted of the following artists and art professionals:

Harriet Lesser Arts Curator over 20 years in DC area
Ric Kasini Kadour Associate Professor of Art and Printmaking Area Publisher and Editor, Kolag magazine
THE AWARDS JUDGE: Jonathan Talbot
The works of artist Jonathan Talbot have been exhibited at The National Academy and the Museum of Modern Art in New York, have represented the U.S. overseas in exhibitions sponsored by the State Department and the Smithsonian Institution, and are included in museum collections in U.S. and Europe. His work is the subject of a recent book, "The Collages of Jonathan Talbot," by Professor Deborah K. Snider of Southern Utah University.

SIGNATURE MEMBERSSignature members are collage artists who are juried into three annual exhibits. The shows do not have to be consecutive. New Signature Members are responsible for reporting their three-year accomplishment to the NCS, Inc. to obtain Signature status. The NCS insignia should be used after the artist’s signature on their collages. Dues are then paid annually to maintain this membership status, even when the artist does not enter the annual exhibit. All Signature Members will receive a membership certificatewhichmaybeduplicatedforindividualpurposes. For example: duplication on brochures; attached to the back of framed collages; or framed by itself for display.

NCS BOOKSTOREThe NCS Bookstore features all of the NCS publications and can be found on our website: www.nationalcollage.com. There youwillfindCollage in All Dimensions,abookthatdefinescollage and assemblage in art historical terms. Also featured in the bookstore is Creating Collage in All Dimensions - Techniques to Alter and Transfer Images, which brings new and exciting collage techniques to artists. Both books are written by Gretchen Bierbaum, President and Founder of the NCS.
The bookstore also contains many catalogs and other misc. items, like calendars and T-shirts.
PERMANENT COLLECTIONThe permanent collection of the School of Art at Kent State University is the location of the National Collage Society Teaching Collection. In order to support the curatorial needs of the collection, the NCS plans to raise money to build an endowment fund. The goal of the endowment fund is to offer a scholarship for a student who will provide community outreach and education.

CONTRIBUTING TO THE NCS PERMANENT COLLECTIONThere are many opportunities to contribute to the National Collage Society, Inc. Teaching Collection:
