Tuesday June 9 Noon – Vocations Club at Heath, Msgr. Enke will be the speaker Thursday June 11 1pm – Danville Library Summer Reading Program – Midwest K9 Search Unit Sunday June 14 2pm – Fr. Snoke’s 50th Anniversary Mass in Lancaster Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ Weekend of June 6/7, 2015 – Today’s Gospel gives St. Mark’s account of Jesus gathering his disciples for a last supper, revealing to them a new covenant established through his own sacrificial blood. Every time we participate in the Eucharist, we make a pledge to renew and deepen our participation in Christ’s covenant in practical ways. For the steward, that means making daily, personal sacrifices to strengthen this covenant relationship such as deepening our relationship with the Lord in prayer, supporting our parish, and giving comfort to the poor. Now is a good time to reflect on what we can do to strengthen our covenant with the Lord and our community in practical ways. St. Vincent de Paul Church will have a Corpus Christi Procession this Sunday. You are welcome to participate. Please meet at the church at 12:20. The group will walk to selected homes in Mount Vernon for prayer and back to the church. The procession lasts about 45-60 minutes. 2015 Bishop’s Annual Appeal: Please take time to prayerfully consider your pledge if you have not yet done so. All pledges are appreciated; no gift is too small. Any amount given over our goal will be refunded 100% to our parish. With the exterior work just completed on the Church and Community Center, the refund to St. Luke’s will be helpful in building up our reserves once again. We have almost 300 households in our parish and it would be great to have 100% participation. In 2014, 170 households made a pledge. There will be follow-up phone calls to those who have not made a pledge. Please fill out a pledge envelope and save us a call, even if you cannot give this year. Checks should be made out to: St. Luke Church, BAA. Thank you.

Goal - $23,757.21 Total Pledges - $30,520.21 with 108 pledges received thus far, Thank you! A pictorial directory helps us know each other better. Our last directory was five years ago. Please make an appointment to have your portrait taken Monday, June 29, Tuesday, June 30, or Wednesday, July 1, or if those dates don’t work, Friday, July 24, or Saturday, July 25. The weekday appointments will be from 2:30-9:00pm and Saturday appointments will be 11:00am-4:00pm. Sign-ups for appointments begin this weekend. Marcia Durbin will start making sign-up calls soon. St. Luke Parish Festival – July 11, 2015

Festival'15 committee is looking for pop-up tents to borrow July 10 & 11. If you would like to help, drop the tent off at the parish office. Be sure to put your name on it. Let Dave Rashley know so we can keep a count.

Festival '15 is looking for underwriters for the festival dinner. We need "Fowl weather friends" to sponsor the chicken and "Veginators" to help pay for tomatoes and cucumbers. If you would like to help, call Sandy at the office or Beth Durbin, 740-398-6272.

The Country Store is getting a new name this year, Fancy Goods. Help us stock it with all kinds of fancy desirables that you can eat, wear or show.

There are all kinds of ways to help with festival. Volunteer sheets will be going up soon. We still need baskets for the auction. There is prep work to be done ahead of time.

Thank you in advance for your prayers and support.
