Our third essay topic was to find an advertisement that bothers us or has a rhetorical message that combines the use of visual and textual elements. We were to then create an anti- advertisement that counteracts what the original was trying to say. I found this project to be the most fun due to its creative thinking as well as using Photoshop to alter the image. I chose to do an advertisement on Naked Juice. This was a company who claimed the made 100% fruit smoothies with no added sugars or preservatives. During revisions of my essay, I concentrated more heavily on talking about my anti advertisement and how I felt about it. Before I talked lots about the history of Naked Juice and the lawsuit filed against them. I added in text citations in order to better support my anti advertisement with facts. I also fixed lots of grammar errors found throughout the paper as well as poor sentence structure.
