The third offour letters

explaining our decision to

choose World Team as

our sending agency.

We didn't chose World Team. It's more accurate to

say that we chose each other. Our paths crossed on several

occasions. Eventually we realized it was no accident. We are nowconvinced that working with World Team is also our best path to France.

Wearenostrangerstomissions,ortomissionsagencies.Inourrstletterwegaveyousomeofthathistory.It'smadeuscarefulinourchoices.Weareolderandwiser,withabetterunderstandingofourowncapabilitiesandcalling. OurrstintroductiontoWorldTeamcamein2000,inFrance.Whilethereonapaidvacation,wespentacoupleofdayswithWorldTeammissionariesfromour

homechurch.Theyhadbeenachurchforoveradecadeandwerestillmeetinginahotelbecausethegovenmentwouldn'tal-lowthemtohavetheirownbuilding.TheyinvitedustoreturnandattendtheannualParisPrayerConference.

In2005,weewbacktoParisfortheconference.Wemettherestoftheteamofchurchplantersandwhatstruckusaboutthemwastheirauthenticity.Theirpas-

sionforGodandheartforthepeopleofFrancecreatedawillingnesstolockarmswithothermissionsagenciesinFranceandconfrontspiritualdarknessheadon.

And they knew how to pray!

Reciprocal Assessment & Candidate Evaluation InOctoberofthatyearweattendedtendaysofcandidateevaluationatWorldTeamheadquarters.ItwastherewerealizedtheFrenchteamwasn'taloneinitspassion,orinitsmission.World Team exists to glorify God by workingtogether to establish reproducing churches focusing on the unreached

peoples of the world.Theirsisamissionstatementweresonatewith.

In our dealings with World Team over the last few years we've seen thefollowing core values taught clearlyand lived out consistently:

Prayer and Worship are the expressions of our dedication to God and our totaldependency upon Him to intervene in our l ives and work.

WeareatourmostproductivewhenourfocusisonarelationshipwithGod,andHisglory,ratherthanoneachotherorevenontheneedsoftheworld.WorldTeam'sfocusonprayerandworshipwillhelpkeepusonthe straightpath to productivity.

Interdependence is the essence of our working together within the Body of Christexpressed in teamwork and partnerships to extend Gods Kingdom."Team"isn'tintheirnamebyaccident.WewereconfrontedpersonallywiththeiremphasisoninterdependenceduringR.A.C.E..Thoseofusattendingweresetataskandgivenfourdaystoaccomplishit.Thegoalwasprimarilytodeter-minehowwellwefunctionedasagroup,andwhatspecicgiftednesswebrought

tothetable.Theresultsdeterminedwhetherwewereinvitedtojoinwiththem.InFrance,theyarenotabitbashfulaboutpartneringwithothermissionsagencies,andwhenwemovetoFrance,wewillbeemployeesofthegovernmentapprovedcorporation,FranceVIE.,acollaborationbetweenWorldTeamandotherswhoshare their passion for the unreached.

Developing and Releasing Leaders is the most effective and biblical meansof preparing national leaders and missionaries.OneofthepassionswesharewithWorldTeamismentoring.Oneofourgoalsaschurchplanterswillbetostart churches that start churches.Thiswillnothappenwithoutapurposefulattempttogrowlocalleaderstoeventuallydo

withoutus.OneofthejoysawaitingusistheopportunitytoworkalongsideyoungFrenchchurchplantersthatare,themselves,thefruitofWorldTeam'seffortsinFrance!

Wearehonoredbeyondwordstobegiventheoppor-tunitytoworkalongsidethesepeople of faith, commit-ment and vision.WeareeagertojoininthechurchplantingworktakingplaceinFrance.
