*GREETING
*HYMN I Want to Walk as a Child of the Light #206
I want to walk as a child of the light.
I want to follow Jesus.
God set the stars to give light to the world.
The star of my life is Jesus.
Refrain
In him there is no darkness at all.
The night and the day are both alike.
The Lamb is the light of the city of God.
Shine in my heart, Lord Jesus.
I want to see the brightness of God.
I want to look at Jesus.
Clear Sun of Righteousness, shine on my path,
And show me the way to the Father.
Repeat Refrain
I’m looking for the coming of Christ.
I want to be with Jesus.
When we have run with patience the race,
We shall know the joy of Jesus.
Repeat Refrain
SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM Dr. Steve Wende
With God’s help we will proclaim the good news and live according to the
example of Christ. We will surround Nicole Ruth Perrin with a community of
love and forgiveness that she may grow in her trust of God and be found
faithful in her service to others. We will pray for her, that she may be a true
disciple who walks in the way that leads to life eternal.
SUNG RESPONSE I Was There to Hear Your Borning Cry
"I was there to hear your borning cry, I'll be there when you are old.
I rejoiced the day you were baptized, to see your life unfold.”
*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH Hananiah Pinto
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; and in
Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead,
and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and
sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall
come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic† church, the communion of
saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life
everlasting. Amen. †Apostolic and Universal

LIFE OF THE CHURCH Dr. Steve Wende
*HYMN Take My Life, and Let It Be #399
Take my life, and let it be consecrated, Lord, to thee.
Take my moments and my days; let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Take my hands, and let them move at the impulse of thy love.
Take my feet, and let them be swift and beautiful for thee.
Take my voice, and let me sing always, only, for my King.
Take my lips, and let them be filled with messages from thee.
Take my silver and my gold; not a mite would I withhold.
Take my intellect, and use every power as thou shalt choose.
Take my will, and make it thine; it shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart, it is thine own; it shall be thy royal throne.
Take my love, my Lord, I pour at thy feet its treasure store.
Take myself, and I will be ever, only, all for thee.
FAITHFUL GIVING Rev. Charles Thompson
THE WORD IN SONG When I Survey the Wondrous Cross Gilbert Martin
*THE WORD IN SCRIPTURE Luke 19:29-40 Page 78, N.T Pew Bible
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise God, all creatures here below; Alleluia! Alleluia!
Praise God, the source of all our gifts!
Praise Jesus Christ, whose power uplifts!
Praise the Spirit, Holy Spirit! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!
This is the Word of the Lord! Thanks be to God!
MESSAGE Dr. Steve Wende
Journey to Jerusalem: Bethany
THE LORD’S PRAYER Matthew 6:9-13
*HYMN Go, Make of All Disciples #571
“Go, make of all disciples.” We hear the call, O Lord,
That comes from thee, our Father, in thy eternal Word.
Inspire our ways of learning through earnest, fervent prayer,
And let our daily living reveal thee everywhere.
"Go, make of all disciples," baptising in the name
Of Father, Son, and Spirit, from age to age the same.
We call each new disciple to follow thee, O Lord,
Redeeming soul and body by water and the Word.
"Go, make of all disciples." We at thy feet would stay
Until each life's vocation accents thy holy way.
We cultivate the nature God plants in every heart,
Revealing in our witness the master teacher's art.
"Go, make of all disciples." We welcome thy command.
"Lo, I am with you always." We take thy guiding hand.
The task looms large before us; we follow without fear;
In heaven and earth thy power shall bring God's kingdom here.
*SENDING FORTH Rev. Cy Helm
