RULES AND REGULATIONS:· Teams are free to choose their own MEDICALLY RELEVANT TOPICS (Pre

clinical, Para clinical, Clinical subjects).· Team should strictly comprise only of UNDERGRADUATE MEDICAL

STUDENTS (Including interns).· Final 10 teams would be selected after evaluation of the abstract

submitted by them.· A team can have MINIMUM 6 and MAXIMUM 12 members with MINIMUM

3 speakers and MAXIMUM 6 speakers.· The time allotted for each team is 20 MINUTES (Including 5 minutes for

technical support). Marks shall be deducted for exceeding the time limit. It will be followed by a 5 minutes question and answer session.

· Presentation should strictly be in MS OFFICE or higher version.2007 · Identity of your college should NOT BE REVEALED at any point during the

presentation.IF A MEMBER OF ANY TEAM IS FOUND VIOLATING ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES, THE TEAM IS LIABLE TO BE DISQUALIFIED.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DETAILS:· Maximum WORD LIMIT: 500 WORDS.· Headings to be included: title, introduction, aim and objectives, materials

and methods, results, discussion and conclusion.· Teams should send us an e-mail of their abstracts with the name of their

college, team members and their year of study latest by (10th July).· Strictly adhere to the FORMAT and WORD LIMIT. No discrepancy

between the abstract and final presentation should be seen on final day.· Entries will be SCREENED and SELECTED PARTICIPANTS informed

accordingly by (15th July). Rs.500/-for screening of abstracts.(non-refundable)

CYNOSURE(The Case Presentation Competition)

For those whom nothing captivates more than baffling everyone with their obscure cases, nothing is more enticing than the sight of wards and none a place more pleasurable than the hospital; here's an amazing platform for you to boast on what you live for. Go grab your kit n hit the wards!

RULES AND REGULATIONS:Ÿ Each person has to present one case of his/her choice. There will be 2 rounds :

Screening and Final round. Ÿ For the screening round the participants need to submit a brief summary of their

case with diagnosis (abstract) by mail by 15th July and the selected participants will be informed shortly. Abstract word limit 300 words.

Ÿ For the final round : Ÿ The case should be backed by a PowerPoint presentation. Ÿ Time limit 5-7 minutes. Ÿ The case should constitute relevant positive and negative findings in the history,

vital parameters on presentation, general and systemic examination findings, laboratory and other special investigations, differential diagnosis proposed, final diagnosis proposed, surgical / therapeutic interventions made and their outcome, concluded by a final summary of all of the above.

Ÿ · To aid in explanation the photographs of the patient can be used but his/her identity should not be revealed. 5. After the presentation there would be a question answer session by the judges

Ÿ · Criteria for judgement: choice of case, lucidity of thought, conversation skills, conciseness, subject knowledge and confidence

Ÿ · More than one student from a college can participate.Ÿ

RULES AND REGULATIONS: 1. The event is for undergraduate students only. 2. The student presenting should be an author of the research. 3. Topic of presentation should be within the scope of health

sciences. 4. Both funded(ICMR/Universities/ other agencies) and non

funded projects are welcome. 5. Each participant will be allotted a time limit of 5 minutes for

presenting his/her research followed by a 2 minutes question and answer session by judges.

RULES AND REGULATIONS-Ÿ Only individual entries are accepted.Ÿ Participation is only for undergraduate students (including

interns).Ÿ The qualified entrants have to print a poster of the dimensions:

120 cm length x 90 cm breadth, printed and present it on the day of the competition.

'Create and showcase the world of medicine...cinema�c way!'

RULES AND REGULATIONS:-· There is no specific theme but the concept of the short film

should be medically relevant.· Each team shall not have more than 8 members.· The films shall not be more than 8 minutes in duration,

including the beginning and end credits. Films exceeding this time limit are liable to be rejected.

· The films should be subtitled in ENGLISH.· The language of the film should be either English or Hindi.· The films may be shot in any format. The recommended

video files formats are VOB, MPG, MPEG4, AVI or MP4 (preferably MP4 or AVI).

· Any clipping involving smoking, alcohol or drug abuse can be shown only if required for awareness/ educational purposes and if shown, a disclaimer is mandatory.
