• There are several incubators/accelerators focusing on IoT start-ups
• We have a 4-digit member base regionally
• The community members successfully finished several community projects
• We are part of a global group of IoE/IoT communities
• Our members talk about IoE at conferences and events
• The community was mentioned in recognised business and IT publications
• We have a full day offsite in an attractive location

Mike BriersFounding CEO, KEi
Mike Briers is one of Australia’s most respected big data and IoT thought leaders and public-private sector entrepreneurs.
Mike has led the growth of SIRCA to become a leading provider of financial market data services to over 600 universities, corporations and regulatory clients world-wide. He is a serial entrepreneur and a founder of big data company RoZetta Technology, e-Research service provider Intersect Australia, the CMCRC, and, most recently, the Knowledge Economy Institute. Mike is also an angle investor and a founding Director of AgTech business, The Yield.

Ros HarveyFounder & Managing Director, The Yield
Ros Harvey is Founder and Managing Director of The Yield, an AgTech business that uses the power of digital technology to increase yield and reduce risk throughout the entire food supply chain.
Previously, Ros was Director of Sense-T at The University of Tasmania, Australia. Sense-T is a $42 million program which will use data from sensors to deliver real-time information to help industry and government make better decisions.
Ros was Deputy Secretary of the Department of Economic Development, Tourism, and the Arts, where she was responsible for developing Tasmania’s Economic Development Plan. Ros returned to Australia in 2010 following a 15-year international career, including her role as Founder and Director of the global program Better Work, a partnership between the World Bank Group and the UN’s International Labour Organization.
