• As part of overall TA on waste management, EcoGov issupporting GenSan’s initiative to establish a unified office forwaste management.

• Expected results

- two-year transition plan 2008-09

- formalized internal system for operations

Wastewater

Management

• Technical assistance is the focus on

a major wastewater point source:central public market.

• EcoGov engaged the services of 

BNS Phil. to prepare the thedetailed engineering design of 

wastewater treatment facility.

• The design has been completed andis under review. Estimated cost of 

the facility is P6 M, to be funded by

LGU – GSC.

• Results of the May 29th workshop presented to the GSC SuWM Board last 13June 2008, formal presentation of LSSP outline

• SuWM Board gave its approval to conduct a city-wide workshop for the

LSSP & its sanitation communication plan on June 24 – 25, 2008

• Some 45 participants attended the workshop, e.g. members of the SuWM

Board and its TWG; GSC Water District, barangay officials, desludging

service providers and DepEd
