2MW SOLAR PLANT FOR NEWLY URBANISED TOWNSHIP In the past, Puchong Town area was mainly used for rubber estate and tin-mining. However, with its strategic location situated midway between Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC), Malaysia’s political capital and Putrajaya, the administrative capital, urbanization has rapidly developed Pusat Perniagaan Suria or Puchong Gateway into a new township contributing to population boom in the territory. Moreover, with a very favorable sun irradiation, an area of approximately seven acres in Puchong Gateway was carved out for a 2MW solar plant under the Renewable Energy Feed In Tariff program by the government.
The solar plant project is developed and operated by Solar System & Power Sdn. Bhd. (SSPSB) in Malaysia, utilising more than 8,000 multicrystalline YGE 60 Cell Series panels that are estimated to generate approximately 1.5 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean electricity per annum. That is equivalent to the amount of electricity used by roughly 1000 household in Malaysia.

SSPSB’s decision to install Yingli Solar modules because of Yingli’s strong
history of excellent performance results in South East Asia in order to get
the best returns on the invested capital.
The project utilised more than 8000 pieces of YGE 60 Cell Series.

KEY BENEFITS OF THE SYSTEM• The 2 MW Puchong Gateway solar plant will be able to generate
approximately 1.5 million kWh of electricity which is equivalent to
the average electricity consumption of approximately 1000 typical
residential homes in Malaysia.
• 100% of the solar energy produced gets into the local electrical grid
• Proven long-term performance of Yingli multicrystalline panels ensures
ongoing high energy yields.
• Yingli panels’ unique ability to perform well in varying temperature,
high humidity and cloudy conditions.
• Yingli modules have an outstanding price/ performance rate and a
higher output power than expected.
