Muitiplication Tables of 2, 5 and 10: Page 62 to 68
We will practice table of 2.
Multiplication gives the result of combining groups of equal sizes.
In other words, multiplication is repeated addition
Here each group has 3 ice creams, and there are two such groups. So, there are 2 times 3 or 3 + 3 or 6 ice creams in total.
1. (a) 3 + 3 = 06 2 groups of 3 = 06 2 x 3 = 06

Muitiplication Tables of 2, 5 and 10: Page 69 to 72
We will practice table of 5.
Multiplication gives the result of combining groups of equal sizes.
Multiplication is repeated addition.
Here each group has 5 ice creams, and there are 4 such groups. So 4 times 5 = 20
(b) 5 + 5 + 5+ 5 = 20 4 groups of 5 = 20 1 2 3 4 × 5 = 20
(c) 5 + 5 + 5 = 15 5 5 5
3 groups of 5 = 15

Example:
1. How many legs do two dogs have?
2. How many socks in 3 pairs? 2 x 3 =
3. If a guitar has 6 strings. How many strings on 5 guitars?
