    onion soupIngredients

    60 grams o butter.1.5 kilos opeeled and sliced onions.4-5 chopped garlic cloves.1 bay lea.A ew sprigs resh thyme.150 ml cider.750 ml chicken stock.

    12-18 sage leaves.4 slices bread, toasted.120 grams o grated cheese.Salt and pepper.

    PreparationMelt the butter in a big pot over medium-lowheat. Add the onions and saut slowly until sot,tender and browned (about 45 minutes). Addthe garlic, bay and thyme leaves and cook orve minutes, then add the cider and simmer orabout three minutes. Then, remove the herbs andadd the stock and simmer or 20 minutes. Season

    with salt and pepper to taste. Put the soup intoheatproo bowls. Top each serving with a slice otoast and sprinkle the cheese on top.Grill in theoven until the cheese is melted and bubbling.Delicious!
