Introduction Unique handmade shop have just launched in 2010 by an Aston University's student. It is the collection of

all unique and neat handmade gifts and toys designed and made from creative and young students. Only

best quality raw material, workmanship and creative ideas are seen as acceptable in creation of our unique

handmade shop. Most of our products are unique and 100% handmade that you could not find from

anywhere else with very reasonable prices.

Each unique handmade gifts and toys are carefully hand-trimmed and every step of

We set up Unique Handmade Blog with the aim of helping designers, artists &

Unique plate made from egg shell

Preparation:

- Egg shells (cleaned)

- Plate (plastic or wood)

- Glue

- Black Paint

- Glossy Paint

Step 1

- You need to paint the plate black

Step 2:

- Smash egg shells. Then cover the plate with glue and place the

smashed egg shells on it.

- Use tooth pick will be easier to relocate in small area.

Try to make the plate fully covered by egg shells

- When the glue dry, using glossy paint on

Make a belt from old tyres Preparation:

Old tyres

Belt buckle

Rivets

A pair of scissors

A slot punch

Let get started

Step 1

Clean the old tyre and cut the belt from the old tyre. The belt should be 1 foot longer than the

waist measurement and equal in width to the interior width of the chosen buckle.

Step 2:

Place a slot punch on the belt. The first two holes should be placed 1/4 inch from the belt end, and each

hole should be 1/4 inch from the belt's edges.

Step 3:

Insert the buckle prong through the punched slot so that the buckle is correctly positioned. Fold the uncut

belt end back so that the rivet holes are lined up, and insert the rivets from the underside of the belt.

Ribbon, rick-rack, or metallic braid ( 1/8 inch size is the best)

Lets get started

Step 1: Poke a large hole in the egg

Step 2: Paint the egg with Acrylic colours ( be careful not to break the egg, you can choose your favourite colours)

Step 3: start cutting holes in the front of the eggs with a very sharp

pair of scissors. Cut holes large enough so that you are able to

set a scene inside. Cut slowly and be patient. Sometimes it might

help to poke a hole with the pin to get started.

Step 4: let the paint dry, then apply glue on egg shell

Step 5: Apply beads when the glue is still wet

Step 7: Field test the amount of ribbon or braid or whatever that it

takes to circle the egg hole in the front of the egg (see picture).

Cut the ribbon and glue into place. Let the glue dry.

Make penguin from socks with pictures Preparation

- a black sock

- a white sock

- a pair of scissors

- Needle and thread

- A marker (or pen)

- Ribbon or felt flower

Let's get started

- Cut off the ankle of the sock and stitch

up the hem

- Cotton sheets ( 2mm thick)

- A pair of scissors, a ruler

Step 1: Use cotton sheet

Cut into small pieces

1 piece: 14,5 x 5 cm ( C1)

2 pieces: 14,5 x 3 cm ( C2)

2 pieces: 6, 2 x 3,5 cm (C3)

1 piece: 15,7 x 6,2 cm (C4)

Step 2: Use foam sheet

Cut into small pieces ( same size as the cotton pieces)

The foam with sticky back sheets, peal and stick the foams pieces to both sides of the cotton

- Use pen to draw the lines on the

magazines ( as shown )

Step 2: - Use a toothpick to roll the paper.

- Tightly roll the paper from triangle's

base to the end, then glue to stabilize.

- Felt fabric ( you can choose your

- Needle and threads

Step 1: - Draw a monkey on a felt then cut out of

the felt.

Step 2: - We need 2 piece as shown

One with tail and the other one without

tail.

Step 3: - Use a white or yellow felt fabric to make

face.

Step 4: - Stitch the face and arms to body

- Remember to stuff the cotton wool into
