    TRAINING AND INITIAL ENGAGEMENT Training: The training for the course will commence on 31 Jan 2011, with 09 weeks Basic

    Discharge as Unsuitable: Sailors are liable to be discharged as UNSUITABLE due tounsatisfactory performance at any time during the training.

    Initial Engagement: The initial engagement is subjected to successful completion of training.The initial engagement is of 20 years.

    SELECTION PROCEDURE The applications are to be downloaded from internet site www.nausenabharti.nic.in . The

    selection procedure is as follows: Application will be received only through ORDINARY POST. Application received through

    speed post/ registered post or couriers will be rejected. Short-listing criteria will be on higher education and percentage of marks. Call up letters for eligible short listed candidates will be posted, indicating date, time and place

    for recruitment tests, which are scheduled during Sep to Oct 2010. The shortlisted candidatescan also download their Call Letter from internet site www.nausena-bharti.nic.in (Breakingnews section) from 20 Aug 2010.

    All original certificates, mark sheets are to be produced at the time of written examination. Results of the Written Test will be announced on the same day and those who qualify Written

    test will undergo PFT and Recruitment Medical Examination(Preliminary), which may take 1-2days.

    Candidates declared Temporary Medically Unfit in the recruitment medical could avail specialistreview from the specified Military Hospital within a maximum period of 21 days. No furtherreview/appeal is permissible if declared unfit in the specialist review.

    Candidates declared Permanent Medically unfit in the recruitment medical can appeal forspecialist opinion in a Military Hospital on payment of Rs 40/- by Military Receivable Order(MRO) on Government Treasury within 21 days. Medical fitness certificate other than that ofthe specialist opinion in a Military Hospital will not be considered. No further review/ appeal ispermissible.

    The candidates who qualify in all respects will be short listed depending upon the vacancies.The candidate will be selected on all India merit basis. The centre wise select list of candidates(depending upon the numbers to be inducted) will be displayed at the respective RecruitmentCentres on 30 Dec 2010. All candidates whose names appear in the Select list and have beendeclared medically fit in the Recruitment Medical would be required to report to INS Chilka.However, enrolment will be subject to Fitness in Enrolment Medical at INS Chilka.

    The candidates selection pertaining to a particular batch is valid for that batch only. Qualifiedcandidates whose names do not appear in the final select list cannot claim admission for thenext batch. These candidates will have to undergo the selection procedure afresh providedthat they meet the eligibility criteria for the fresh batch.

    Call letter for Final Medical examination will be forwarded only to medically qualified candidatesin the select list. Unsuccessful candidates will not be intimated separately.

    All select listed candidates will also be forwarded Police Verification form alongwith the Callletter for final medical examination. The candidates will be required to submit the same to INSChilka after getting their antecedents verified on this form from the concerned district policeauthorities.     Admission to these courses is limited to candidates passing the qualifying examination from educational institutions situated in the

    Security4. The following additional security assistance from the District administration/District Police are required for safe conduct of therecruitment rally as per programme given at Para 2 above :-(a) District Police be requested to make elaborate security and traffic arrangements for the safe and peaceful conduct of Recruitment

    Rally at rally site. (b) From experience it is seen that a large number of candidates turn up at the rally site during the initial stage ofthe Recruitment Rally. It is therefore requested that a Police force of sufficient strength be provided and deployed at the Rally sitefor the initial period of physical fitness test and documents check ie from 01 Jul to 07 Jul 2010 at Port Trust Stadium Paradeep,Jagatsinghpur District. Since the candidates start gathering at the rally site one day prior to the registration, it is therefore requestedthat the police force be stationed at the above Rally site one day prior before start of the rally in the morning from 0500 hoursonward. (c) It is also requested that a SDM may please be deputed as overall coordinator for security arrangements in liaison withthe Army Authorities at the Recruiting Rally site and to keep a close watch and monitor the situation by frequent visits to the Rally site,so that no untoward incident is allowed to occur.
